01:10Better Together, 80 years and for more peace, development and human rights,
01:15world leaders are gathering a series of high-level meetings
01:19in the context of the United Nations 80th Anniversary General Assembly.
01:23A representative from the 193 UN member states will take the floor
01:26during the organization's general debate in New York City
01:29to create out debates around topics of greatest interest
01:32like the situation in Gaza and the Palestinian territory,
01:35the conflict in countries such as Ukraine and Sudan,
01:37gender equality and the use of expansion of artificial intelligence.
01:40More than a tradition, this week seeks to incentivize the international community
01:45toward reflection and commitment in the face of global crisis,
01:48ranging from war to climate change.
01:51Palestinian authorities denounced that the Israeli siege is forcing
02:00nearly one million people to move south of the Gaza Strip,
02:03along with the increase in the number of forcibly displaced people.
02:06The number of civilians killed is also rising, exceeding 65,200,
02:24including 75 who lost their lives in the last 24 hours.
02:27Authorities also denounced the recent attacks by the Israeli occupation
02:31against the Tal Al Hawa neighborhood using drones and armored vehicles.
02:36The humanitarian crisis is worsening as several countries wait to formalize
02:40their recognition of the Palestinian state,
02:42an action that is expected to be the first decisive step towards
02:45ending the genocide in the enclave.
02:48Israeli occupation forces stormed the campus of Birsheid University north of Ramallah
02:57in the center of the occupied West Bank after smashing the university's auto doors.
03:01Israeli military vehicles stormed the city of Birsheid and headed for Birsheid University
03:06before smashing the outer gates of the university campus in preparation
03:09for storming the university through the east and west entrances.
03:12Should be noted that the occupation forces had raided the Birsheid campus on repeated occasions,

04:05where Palestinian sovereignty after decades of occupation and apartheid by Israel will be in focus.
04:10I set out in July the terms upon which we would act, in line with our manifesto,
04:22to recognize Palestinian statehood.
04:25That moment has now arrived.
04:30So today, to revive the hope of peace and a two-state solution,
04:36I state clearly, as Prime Minister of this great country,
04:43that the United Kingdom formally recognizes the state of Palestine.
04:50Meanwhile, in France, hundreds of protesters took part in a march in Paris on Sunday,
04:57organized by a coalition of left-wing parties to reaffirm their support for the Palestinian people.
05:02This comes on the eve of the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in New York,
05:06where France is expected to announce its recognition of the state of Palestine.
05:10The National Secretary of the Green Party, Marine Tondelier, off-held the decision,
05:16but said it was too late since Palestine has become a cemetery due to the destruction of Gaza.
05:21The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Portugal recognized Palestine on September 24,
05:25making the United Kingdom and Canada the first V-7 members to take this step.
05:30France and several European countries are expected to follow suit at UN meetings.
05:34In Israel, a mental health crisis is plaguing the army in the midst of the war of extermination
05:53waged by the Chinese regime against the Palestinian people.
05:56Over 300 Israeli army soldiers raised their voices to condemn the deep mental health crisis affecting their troops,
06:01declaring their refusal to participate in the final offensive to occupy Gaza.
06:06In this regard, the entity's Ministry of Defense acknowledged that 56% of its more than 20,000 soldiers
06:12wounded in the Palestinian coastal enclave suffered from post-traumatic stress or other mental disorders.

07:09For the second day in a row, citizens of Peru took to the streets to protest against the government of President Dina Boloarte and Congress.
07:15San MartÃn Square was the epicenter of this massive day of action led by thousands of students, social groups and popular organizations
07:22to express their rejection of the political system that supports Boloarte's administration.
07:27Clashes broke out as government forces attacked the crowd using rubber bullets and tear gas.
07:32The protesters demanded structural changes in the government model and denounced the political instability the country is experiencing.
07:40And the Venezuelan Armed Forces offered on Sunday the balance of the barracks got the People Day,
07:50which showcased the people's commitment to the defense of the nation's sovereignty.
07:54Precisely, the Minister of Defense of the South Bolivarian Country, Vladimir Padrino,
07:58gave an assessment of the progress of the exercise that was carried out on September 20th
08:03as part of the ongoing military training of the people in defense of the sovereignty and peace of the homeland.
08:09Padrino assured the operation was a solid step in the consolidation of the country's popular military thinking.
08:15Similarly, the authority praised the unity between the armed forces and the people,
08:19which allows them to strengthen the defense of the nation against any threat of foreign invasion.
08:24Massive protests took place in Brazil this Saturday against two recent under-tanded moves by the far-right in Congress.

08:45Hundreds of thousands of Brazilians came out to the streets in over 20 cities this Sunday
08:52to push back against two recent maneuvers by the bolsonarista far-right in National Congress
08:58in what many are calling the largest street protests to take place in the country since 2019.
09:04The protests were triggered by events on September 17th,
09:07when the majority conservative lower house of Congress ratified two constitutional amendments.
09:13Thousands of workers are on the streets today because this constitutional amendment,
09:19which we call the Panditry Amendment, is unacceptable.
09:22For those who don't know about it, it's a bill that, if it passes the Senate,
09:26it means that lawmakers who murder, rob, rape or associate with organized crime
09:31cannot longer be investigated without congressional approval.
09:34On top of this, there is an amendment for amnesty for the coup-plotters.
09:38Those people were convicted and Congress is trying to take arbitrary action of giving them amnesty.
09:44Both amendments still have to be ratified by the Senate and approved by the Supreme Court.
09:49Senate leaders have indicated that, in their current format, neither will pass.
09:53Instead, conservatives in Senate seem to want to use the threat of amnesty to lower sentences for ex-president Bolsonaro and his cronies.
10:01Nevertheless, the message was clear on the streets this Sunday.
10:06The United Federation of Petroleum Workers is on the streets today across the country,
10:12here with Recife and all over Brazil, to denounce the Berberianism that is being perpetrated by Federal Deputies International Congress.
10:20If brought to a floor vote, both amendments will need 49 of the 81 total votes in the Senate to pass.

12:14The protests took place near the Presidential Palace, where demonstrators were attacked with tear gas as part of the security forces' repressive action.
12:22Seventeen people were arrested after the Philippine police engaged in a physical altercation with those present.
12:28Citizens were protesting over alleged corruption involving legislators, public officials and business people,
12:33accused of misappropriating large sums of money intended for flood control projects.
12:38And on Sunday afternoon, the counting of votes began in some polling stations in Guinea, following the referendum on a draft constitution
12:55that could allow the leader of the country's military board to run for president.
13:00Nearly seven million Guineans were called to the polls and made calls from the opposition for a boycott,
13:07as they considered the process an attempt by the military board to legitimize its actions in the face of increasing repression against critics and activists.
13:16The head of the electoral directorate, Jenna Bu Ture, praised the mobilization and civic spirit of the citizens
13:22and described the process as a highlight in the country's democratic history.
13:31In China, the UNESCO International Institute for Science and Technology Education was officially established,
