00:26hot american summer tour um through the united states and canada um come and see us if you haven't

00:36already this is our tour bus such as it is be it ever so humble um this is the front lounge um this

00:46is somebody we bought at a uh at a truck stop uh that's the tv right there the tv monitor uh we're

00:58watching a long lonesome highway directed by josh roush uh on the box right now midnight run is is

01:07a favorite on the bus uh what else south park episode we've been watching the new south park

01:13episode quite a bit uh what else lots of ladies aerobics ladies aerobics topo chico san pellegrino

01:22uh modello guinness roadkill uh this is stuff that that's on our rider that we send out in advance

01:31to clubs and promoters uh that they furnish us with uh beers such as uh your metellos

01:39um your guinness over there way in the back we got some possum steaks um uh a little road kill

01:48a little confining when it's when it's bumped back in but uh but as a bump out as you can see

01:54it's very spacious this is the kitchenette uh such it is is your toaster here we've got uh our pantry up

02:04here is where we keep our uh our ketamine and our sildenafil is that what you call it uh and uh

02:12black pepper cajun seasoning etc uh this is the coffee rig so would you like a coffee sure all right i can

02:24do that your wish is my command um this this is john swami john reese on the ones and the twos

02:34one or the one you know but uh yeah all records they found uh in the midst of this uh wet hot american

02:43summer tour and it's not even done yet i'm gonna make a coffee so uh yeah my name is swami john reese

02:52i play guitar and spike in the gimme gimme's i'm very happy to go on the road play rock and roll with

02:58my best friends and also uh look for records on tour i'm kind of i have a i have a problem

03:06and yeah so this tour just started and this is stuff that i just picked up so far on this tour

03:12well i don't know you know because this is only the fourth show so i haven't i i've been kind of

03:19looking for this with the sleeve uh it was a good two dollar fine it looks like it's going to be like

03:25um kind of like a you know instrumental batman exploitation thing but it's actually like

03:32it's really cool burning soul

03:35so yeah that was that's a cool one um what else i've been looking for this uh the rangoons wild

03:49guitar instrumental slightly popcorn-esque

03:55you know i i i do have a pretty huge list of records that i'm horny for and looking for

04:07the list is so big that um i can't quite memorize you know everything that i'm looking for i hear

04:15stuff and passing and i make a note of it thanks dude very welcome spike king barista

04:22it is the second best thing that he does in life after seeing

04:28but yeah i do i there's stuff i'm looking for that's why i bring the record player i bring it

04:35into shops with me i go to use shops usually would have a bunch of records that are kind of not

04:41not necessarily organized all that well and this allows me to kind of blast things here and there

04:46put some headphones in and just going to hear and judge whether or not um i want to get it yeah

04:51this is one actually that i've been looking for it's not a super rare record but i've just never

04:56come across it the triplets baghdad beat this label puts out a bunch of really cool or did put a

05:03bunch of really cool kind of exotic instros yeah that's my jam yeah so yeah i'll just hear that

05:14much and go okay i need to get that one yeah it's a delonghi machine uh not super expensive but it's a

05:23fucking tank and uh it takes care it makes uh at least one thing a foregone conclusion

05:32in your morning and that's generally the first thing anybody wants like they can't really

05:38operate at a hundred percent until they're caffeinated right so we just cut straight to

05:43the chase because every once in a while you'll wake up on your bus and you'll look on your gps on

05:48your phone and you'll see dunkin donuts 2.8 miles uh so not only is it shitty coffee but you got to

05:57spend six dollars for a cappuccino at minimum so we just took care of it and brought it right to

06:04the source well we couldn't be happier about that it has its own road case it does it has its own

06:10road case uh that uh that audra outfitted for us and uh yeah it's a it's a very important aspect of our

06:22uh of our touring operation i must say um we use only bourbonne coffee from naples uh which is

06:32the best the best the best that's the one you would yeah those are you don't want to go in there

06:38but uh but but take a look at this one we've got uh we've got cigars you see that we got uh ammo

06:50um the fridge we have a refrigerator and a freezer um in case we get any roadkill on the way out

07:01the freezer's colder than the fridge yes

07:04ironically uh what do we got we got snacks more of our rider um got a little primo sale back there

07:16we got some mortadella some cacho cavallo a little stuffed cabbage um nothing special nothing fancy

07:24you know those contours are constantly shifting and you just try to show a little respect and a

07:31little like common sense when it comes to that i used to have to put obscene uh drawings and and

07:39symbols on my food to get people not to you know to molest it but this this current outfit

07:46is they're pretty respectful of other people's especially food products although i will say

07:53one of our drivers took a bomboloni this is a year or two ago um that you can only get in new york city

08:01that that's the only place outside of sicily that you can get it and the dude doesn't even fucking eat

08:05and he stole a bomboloni but at least he admitted to it um but apart from that everybody's been very

08:14respectful to one another's food and personal space and up until 2 a.m up until 2 a.m then all bets are

08:21off yeah and do not leave your capicolo around cj ramon we're gonna see him in just a second all right

08:29next we're gonna go to the to the shower and the bathroom and bunk alley um so all right follow me

08:38and uh oh boy sorry pitch what you doing in here well number one rule on a tour bus no number two's

08:49on a tour bus but rules are made to be broken right yeah i guess so excuse me guys but you are blocking

08:54my view of the shower ladies and gentlemen it is none other than cj ramon from the world famous

09:04ramon's in flagrante and warming up for the show

09:12is your butt crack cleavage too much all right this is bunk alley um this right here is what we call a

09:24junk bunk um that uh you know the least important member of our touring entourage uh this is his

09:32bunk or hers as the case may be and so it's where we pack all the rest of our our luggage our personal

09:39carry-on type of items to yeah you know i mean the ideal bunk is you know for most people is the middle

09:47bunk although um some people do prefer the bottom uh some people even on top but it's kind of like

09:54a jungle gym getting off to go to the bathroom um it's kind of first come first served and like i

10:01said the low person on the totem pole gets the the junk bunk um unfortunately so this bunk right here

10:09this is where the tragic happens uh this is my bunk um as you can see it's a little i wasn't expecting

10:17company so uh it's a little disheveled at the moment this is not normally how i would keep it

10:24especially if i knew that company was coming but uh anyway it gives you a basic idea of of the whole

10:31setup here wow and there's there's sylvain sylvain's autobiography currently being read in audra's bunk

10:41we got 10 people with with 12 bunks um which leaves a couple empty bunks but um we still make

10:50the low man on the totem pole it's still the junk bunk you know because it's um

10:55there wouldn't be a high end of the totem pole if there weren't a low end of the totem pole

11:01unfortunately right like i didn't invent the game but i gotta play it you know what i mean

11:05this is the escape hatch um uh in the unlikely event of a uh of an accident

11:13or incident but uh that has not happened thus far um and uh i think we're ready to hit the

11:22back lounge if it's all the same to you

11:24oh sorry what's up guys how's it going what are you doing here oh you know just getting

11:35acclimated to the garage and the show tonight getting ready to rock and roll

11:38sorry how's it going spike oh you know pretty good nice just you know wanting to lounge a little

11:49bit yeah that allows you kind of vibe yeah it is yeah this is a great back lounge it's cool it

11:55doesn't bump out like the front lounge a little more intimate yeah a little more private you know

12:01you can just come back here keep yourself a little just kind of you know reset your day if you need to

12:06so yeah it's really nice back here you can just kind of get away from everything you can call home you

12:10can just kind of you know get a little piece of mind going if you need to this is where we flat earthers

12:16uh you know kind of segregate ourselves from the rest of the group you know what i mean

12:21uh because you know we don't necessarily want to be castigated for our beliefs um but uh it gives us

12:27a place to discuss and support one another exactly safe place for conspiracies that's right that's

12:33right for tinfoil hats yeah yeah the 5g you keep it away from this although we do keep the the tinfoil

12:40in the front lounge but in the kitchenette but uh you gotta have it handy that's right should be handy

12:45that's right should we have some should we get a tinfoil hat let's do it yes so yeah as you can

12:52see our team jackets here we'd like to keep them very tidy yes and uh you know keep a little bucky's

12:58on hand for keeping the babies warm you know no we could i mean that the ambient temperature is very

13:04cool right so occasionally you need a bucky's blanket or a crew jacket such as this one right here uh

13:12you know just just to even it out because it feels like you got to be careful what you ask for if you

13:18want it a couple degrees warmer than you're you know then i run a little hot so like i'm always

13:24cold so that's why i'm always kind of throwing this shit gotta keep yourself you know don't want to

13:28catch cold or nothing catch a chill uh that's a ukulele uh a ukulele uh it's a polynesian

13:36instrument uh with four strings uh that is played thusly

13:44perfect

13:53you know i play the other one on the stage and this this serves as sort of a backup ukulele uh to the

14:02one that i normally uh use but uh sure comic relief wood shedding wood shedding yeah it's keeping up

14:12those chops yeah that's john reese's hat uh trying to keep the sun off um as you do in the middle of

14:20summer in the middle of a wet hot american summer tour um yeah it's very important to keep yourself

14:27covered that's right so yeah so that that's the bus uh that will be taking us um on the great

14:35wet hot american summer tour as well as canada yeah but but this is the one this is the trusty

14:45bus that'll be taking us where we need to go um and now it's show time so you need to go
