00:05Temptation often comes not with loud threats, but with quiet compromises.
00:10It plays with our desires and deceives us into settling for less than the truth of who we are in Christ.
00:16But the Precious Blood of Jesus is our safeguard.
00:20It is not only a remedy after a fall, it is armor before the battle.
00:24In the hour of temptation, when we feel weakest, His blood is the strength that protects, purifies, and empowers.
00:34When we invoke the Precious Blood, we are not relying on our own ability to resist, but on Christ's victory already won.
00:43His blood, poured out on the cross, has destroyed the power of sin.
00:48And every time we call upon it, every time we whisper,
00:53By Your Precious Blood, Jesus, deliver me,
00:56we allow that victory to flood into our lives.
01:00The devil flees from the blood because it proclaims love stronger than death and mercy stronger than shame.
01:08Many souls fall not because they are wicked, but because they are weary.
01:12The Precious Blood is strength for the weary soul, light for the confused, and courage for the tempted.
01:20Whether it is a battle of the flesh, the mind, or the will, Jesus does not abandon us.
01:28He fights with us and within us.
01:31His blood courses through the sacraments and rushes to the defense of every heart that calls upon it.
01:38St. Philip Neri was no stranger to temptation.
01:40Though remembered for his joy and humor, he also endured intense interior struggles,
01:48especially against pride and the passions of the flesh.
01:51But his response was simple and profound.
01:54He humbled himself before God and asked daily for purity of heart.
01:59He once prayed,
02:00Lord, beware of Philip.
02:02He may betray you yet today.
02:05That humility, paired with deep devotion to Christ crucified,
02:08became his protection.
02:10He would often meditate on the passion and encourage others to do the same,
02:15especially calling to mind the blood of Christ in moments of temptation.
02:19Like St. Philip, we are not called to be perfect heroes,
02:23but humble hearts clinging to the cross.
02:25Temptation does not mean we are far from God.
02:28It means we are in the battle,
02:30and the blood of Jesus is our victory.
02:32Let us pray.
02:34Lord Jesus, in every temptation be my strength.
02:38I plead your precious blood over my thoughts, desires, and choices.
02:43When I am weak, be my shield.
02:45When I am proud, make me humble.
02:49Through the intercession of St. Philip Neri,
02:51whose joy flowed from a heart surrendered to you,
02:54grant me grace to resist temptation and walk in freedom.
