00:00He's a full-time father looking after me.
00:05So he's looked after me from a very young age without my mum.
00:08So he understands, like, because obviously he's worked before,
00:12nine to fives, he knows that mothers get around a year off
00:15when they're having a baby.
00:17But fathers, they only get two weeks off after the baby's born.
00:20That happened to him.
00:21And he realises, especially being with me throughout life,
00:25he realises the father should probably get at least a month,
00:28maybe even more, two, three months.
00:30My daughter's having a baby next Wednesday
00:33and so her husband's got the parental leave,
00:36which we think is great because when I had her,
00:39which was 35 years ago,
00:41there was no parental leave for husband.
00:44I had six full-paid weeks of leave,
00:46which I could use over an eight-week period,
00:48which actually meant that I could space it out if I wanted.
00:51So I used it over eight weeks.
00:53Fantastic. Absolutely amazing.
00:55That's what every parent should have.
00:57Every dad should have.
00:58I got to really bond with my child.
00:59I got to really bond with my child.
