00:00Across the majority of the plains because this giant dip in the jet stream is going to pull all this super chilled
00:06Canadian and Siberian air as far south as Jeff was talking about into Mexico the Gulf of Mexico as well
00:12We're gonna see the coldest air of the season including some snowfall
00:16We already have some snowfall north of the I-80 corridor from Billings into Idaho Casper, Wyoming Cheyenne, Wyoming starting to see some
00:24Starting or Casper. I should say we're gonna see yes from Billings Casper Cheyenne
00:28We have some some snow showers going on right now. So yes, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho
00:33There's some pretty good snowfall out there, but we will start to see some snowfall developing in Denver as we head into tonight
00:38Here's the latest on the snow timing. The I-80 corridor is pretty much gonna be the dividing line
00:42So what does that mean on Friday up until this evening?
00:45We're gonna see most of that snowfall to the north of the I-80 corridor after that
00:49We're gonna start to see that snowfall drifting to the south of that
00:52Impacting the Denver Metro here as we head throughout the day on Saturday
00:55So here's the latest projections here on total snowfall
00:58You can see that the heaviest snowfall amounts will be just to the west there of I-25
01:02So the higher elevations there in the Rockies, that's where we're gonna see the highest snowfall amounts
01:06But how much snowfall we expected to see?
01:09Well, it looks like our accurate local storm max will be up to two feet of total snowfall
01:13And that's going to extend from Fort Collins all the way down through Colorado Springs
01:17Pikes Peak and even Pueblo will see some pretty good snowfall amounts here as we head throughout this evening tonight and throughout the day tomorrow
01:24Here's the latest update on Denver's total snowfall amounts
01:26And this is a tool that you can get if you download our free AccuWeather app called Wintercast
01:31This breaks down the snowfall amounts by the probability of forecast confidence
01:36You can see that it's right there on the line between two to four and four to eight with four to eight barely nudging out
01:42That total so what this basically means if you interpret this is that
01:46We're going to see at least two inches of snowfall in Denver
01:49And it doesn't look like we're gonna see more than eight
01:51So we're gonna see some pretty impressive snowfall totals there for the Denver Metro here as we head into this evening temperature wise
01:57We're already starting to see temperatures drop with buildings in Denver almost 30 degrees colder right now Jeff than what we were tracking this time
02:04Yesterday so yes, the chill is moving in right now as we speak
02:08And it's a big change and right now temporarily we're still pretty mild east of that area into the northeast
