00:00But as we head into the weekend, this giant dip in the jet stream is going to bring the coldest
00:04air of the season, with super chilled Siberian air being pulled as far south as the Gulf Coast.
00:10We're going to see freezing temperatures there across the Gulf Coast as we head throughout
00:13the weekend. Here's the overall setup. On Monday, we're going to see some snowfall developing there
00:18across the Rockies and the High Plains. That is going to slowly work its way across Texas.
00:22Yes, Dallas, you're going to see some more snowfall there on Monday into Tuesday,
00:26but late Tuesday, Tuesday afternoon, it looks like we'll see a chance of freezing rain
00:30stretching from San Antonio, Houston, Galveston, over through New Orleans. This will also include
00:35Mobile, Pensacola, all the way over towards Jacksonville. So we will see some dangerous
00:41driving conditions here for a lot of these major metropolitan areas as we head into early next week.
00:45But in the meantime, it's all about the cold. Take a look at these low temperatures as we
00:49head into the weekend. Tonight in Oklahoma City, the forecast low, 27 degrees. The forecast low
00:54Saturday night, 15. So temperatures are really going to be dropping, including, look at Houston,
01:0055 degrees tonight, the overnight low. By Sunday night, Monday morning, temperatures will be in
01:04the 20s. So yes, get ready for a big, big temperature drop. And for the high temperatures
01:09here as we head into the weekend, yeah, look at this, Oklahoma City, we had highs in the 50s today.
01:14Now tomorrow, we're going to be in the 30s. And then other than that, you can really see the
01:17impacts. Look at Corpus Christi, tomorrow's 70s before the cold front sweeps through by Monday
01:23in the 40s. So we're talking 20, 30, 40, even for some areas, up to a 50 degree temperature drop
01:28as we head throughout the weekend. So here's the latest on the chance of snow, freezing rain, and
01:32ice as we head throughout the weekend. I'm stopping the clock here at four o'clock. This is central
01:37time, local time on Saturday. We will see a band of snowfall there from the northern Rockies across
01:42West Texas, pretty much lining up across the entire I-40 corridor. So we're talking from
01:47Fort Smith, Arkansas, Oklahoma City, Elk City in western Oklahoma, Amarillo, we'll see some
01:53snowfall there on late Saturday. Throughout the day on Sunday, we're clear, but starting on
01:58Monday, we're going to start to see some of that snowfall developing to the north,
02:01some rain to the south, and then right there, that band between Dallas and Austin, San Antonio,
02:06that's when we're going to start to see some of that ice beginning to develop.
