00:00 "What do I do? I'm a bit big."
00:02 I'm not shy about it anymore.
00:03 Hey, PEPsters!
00:07 This is Pia Wurtzbach,
00:08 and I'm about to do a social media raid for PEP.
00:11 That picture is a photo that we took together
00:16 in Bodrum, Turkey.
00:17 And usually, when Jeremy and I go on vacation,
00:21 we switch off.
00:22 I know we took a picture.
00:23 But that's it.
00:24 We just took a picture for our memories,
00:27 and then we put our phone aside.
00:29 Then, we enjoy time under the sun.
00:32 We love to swim.
00:34 I posted that picture because it's been a while
00:38 since we did a beach trip together.
00:41 And also, I miss him.
00:44 Okay, that photo,
00:45 usually, I do content shoots for different brands
00:49 and high-end luxury items.
00:51 On me, that was the only copy I had.
00:54 I really took care of it so that it wouldn't crease,
00:56 so that it wouldn't get messy.
00:58 Because I needed to bank pictures for promotions.
01:01 So I said, "Give me the book.
01:03 Take a picture."
01:04 And that became one of the promotional materials.
01:07 Oh, wow!
01:09 Throwback!
01:09 We were with Pauline.
01:10 So, those were our workshop days.
01:13 And we always went to the workshop
01:15 because we were also batchmates in ABS.
01:17 And we were still babies.
01:19 Pauline is one of my best friends in Showbiz.
01:22 And we go way, way back.
01:24 As you can see, we still look alike.
01:26 I really miss those times.
01:28 And I also really miss her.
01:29 Oh, my God!
01:31 So, that's my studio pic.
01:33 Shameless studio pic.
01:34 I thought those pants were cool.
01:36 I don't know.
01:37 Because I like my outfits to be different.
01:41 And what I got,
01:43 I still don't know how to pierce it.
01:45 I still don't know how to embroider.
01:46 But as you can see,
01:47 I'm fearless in my fashion choices.
01:50 "If Beyonce can do it, so can I."
01:53 Wow!
01:54 So, actually, my wallpaper was Beyonce
01:56 during those times.
01:57 I saw her photoshoot
01:59 where she wore a crown.
02:01 I said, "Anything I do when I'm challenging,
02:04 I always say,
02:04 'Oh, if Beyonce can do it, so can I.'"
02:07 Okay, that iconic moment.
02:09 That moment was a bit blurred for me.
02:12 I didn't know where the cameras were
02:15 because a lot was happening.
02:16 But I think that was the time
02:18 that it really sunk in for me
02:20 that, "Here it is.
02:21 I got a crown.
02:22 I'm the winner."
02:23 And, "Kawai, kawai to the Filipinos there."
02:27 "Are you still there?"
02:28 [laughs]
02:29 That was probably my thought
02:31 at that moment.
02:32 Oh, yes!
02:34 That photoshoot.
02:35 So, Angelia Ong
02:36 arranged that photoshoot.
02:39 And she had the idea
02:41 to make a
02:42 Universe World International & Earth photoshoot.
02:46 So, we got everybody together.
02:48 So, we helped each other.
02:49 And then, we submitted the photos
02:51 to Harper's Bazaar Vietnam
02:53 in that moment.
02:54 So, all of the creative direction was up to us.
02:57 To Elds and BJ, hi!
03:00 And what an iconic shoot!
03:02 One for the books, for sure.
03:04 Oh, okay.
03:05 That was our wedding week.
03:07 I believe a few days before the wedding.
03:09 That was my favorite look
03:11 when I was a bit tanned.
03:12 The lighting was so beautiful
03:13 because you're outside
03:15 under the sun.
03:16 Then, I just took a no-makeup selfie.
03:19 I said, "Okay, I'll post this."
03:21 Because, you know,
03:22 you're not always looking good
03:24 and you're always wearing makeup.
03:25 I also wanted to show my side
03:27 that I'm no-makeup
03:28 at the beach.
03:29 A lot of your followers
03:31 love that about you.
03:32 That you're not afraid to show
03:33 that you're not wearing makeup.
03:34 Even your--
03:35 My belly.
03:36 [Laughs]
03:37 Yes.
03:38 No, at this age,
03:39 I'm not anymore.
03:40 I mean, maybe if you ask me
03:42 when I was still competing
03:44 like in 2013,
03:45 2014, or 2015.
03:47 Maybe, I'll be more conscious.
03:49 Especially, I'm the representative.
03:51 People can be perfectionists.
03:53 Especially, if you're representing
03:56 the Philippines,
03:57 you gotta be like--
03:58 I felt like I had to fit a mold.
04:00 Like, I couldn't, you know,
04:02 show imperfections.
04:04 Like that.
04:05 But, the trend has changed now.
04:07 We're becoming more accepting
04:09 even in the pageants now.
04:11 Body positivity.
04:12 And, there are no more
04:14 height restrictions,
04:15 age restrictions,
04:16 even gender restrictions.
04:17 So, it's inclusive now
04:19 which is great because
04:20 it's a huge relief for us
04:21 'cause we don't have to keep
04:23 trying to look perfect anymore.
04:24 And, honestly,
04:26 as you get older,
04:27 you stop caring about
04:28 "What do I do? I'm a bit big."
04:30 I'm not shy about it anymore
04:32 because it's normal
04:33 for anyone,
04:34 even athletes,
04:36 when they're in that pose,
04:38 there are folds of the skin.
04:40 So, it's normal.
04:42 And, I was like,
04:42 let's show it
04:43 because that's the truth.
04:45 Social media is already
04:47 so curated.
04:48 And then, it's also our
04:49 responsibility to show them
04:51 that bodies are real
04:52 and they change.
04:53 It changes, it stretches,
04:55 it folds.
04:56 So.
04:57 Oh, yes.
04:57 The moment of the wedding.
04:59 So, I decided to go barefoot.
05:01 I brought two heels
05:02 at that time
05:04 before I bought them.
05:05 In the end, I wasn't able to use them
05:06 because the heels would sink
05:08 in the sand.
05:09 But, I felt really comfortable
05:12 in that moment
05:13 because
05:13 that was the moment
05:14 I didn't want to care about
05:16 how I look like anymore.
05:17 Honestly,
05:18 before walking,
05:20 I was so sweaty
05:21 because it was humid.
05:22 My hair was falling down.
05:25 I was sweating.
05:26 They put a towel on me
05:28 because I was drenched in sweat.
05:30 Then,
05:31 I just spread my face.
05:32 I said,
05:33 "This is it.
05:34 I'm getting married.
05:34 Who cares about how you look?"
05:36 It's about the moment.
05:38 Actually, the moment
05:39 when Jeremy and I were facing each other,
05:42 the tide was rising.
05:44 So, it was coming in.
05:46 I mean, my gown was getting wet,
05:47 but it's a little bit wet, girl.
05:49 It's about the moment.
05:51 Oh!
05:52 The one with the Louvre.
05:53 Okay.
05:54 So,
05:54 that was a very special event
05:56 because they closed down the Louvre
05:58 just for us to have dinner there
06:01 with a brand.
06:02 So,
06:03 it's very rare for you to catch a moment
06:05 without a lot of people around you.
06:08 It was just really nice
06:09 to have that iconic picture
06:11 in front of the Louvre.
06:12 And, what's more iconic
06:14 is when we went inside,
06:15 we had dinner.
06:16 We were inside the Louvre.
06:18 I'm so lucky
06:18 because how many people will get to say
06:20 that they've experienced this?
06:22 And, that's it.
06:23 Thank you so much for watching.
06:25 I hope you guys enjoyed.
06:27 Please don't forget to give me a follow
06:28 on my socials
06:30 and also give Pep a follow
06:31 on their socials.
06:33 And, don't forget to like and share
06:35 on Pep TV.
