00:00Thousands of people gathered in central London on Saturday to show solidarity with Palestinians and demanded an end to Israel's
00:07genocide in Gaza three years after the October 7th attacks.
00:10Demonstrators carrying Palestinian flags and wearing traditional gift jest marched from the embankment toward Parliament holding signs calling for an
00:20end to the genocide.
00:21A two-minute silence was also observed in memory of those killed in Gaza.
00:28Protesters called on the British government to stop supplying arms to Israel as several international organizations have accused Israel of
00:34committing genocide against Palestinians in the territory.
00:39Meanwhile, London's Metropolitan Police reported 20 arrests linked to the demonstration, including allegations of criminal damage, assaulting officers and displaying
00:47support for the banned group Palestine action.
00:49The march comes amid continued calls for accountability over the genocide and mounting pressure on governments to review their support
00:56for Israel.
01:02It's extremely significant. We are three years into an ongoing genocide and the British government has duties that it has
01:11to uphold under international law, not only to punish but to prevent genocide, which has continued to unfold and which
01:19the British government unfortunately continues to deny.
01:23So we are here today along with thousands of people to call on the government to impose full sanctions on
01:34Israel, including a two-way embargo on arms trade and to end its material and diplomatic support for Israel's apartheid
01:45state.
01:46Just because time has passed, we haven't dropped this question. This march today reflects the fact that people are still
01:54furious about this. This is the lightning rod issue that has radicalised an entire generation of young people.
02:01That's what you need to take away from this march today, realising that people are still angry, they're still willing
02:06to fight and they are still very much opposed to this government.
02:10Ultimately this is, we're all here for human rights and it's been three years since the protests here have started
02:18and I want to make sure, like everyone else, that it keeps going.
02:23This isn't something that's going to stop, it's something that keeps standing with Palestine.
02:27This is something that keeps going on, it's something that keeps going on.
02:27I think it's a bit of a response, right.
02:28The person that keeps going on, it'll keep going.
02:29This is something that keeps going on.
