00:00The NFL suspended line judge Jeff Seaman two games and referee Adrian Hill one game each for unprofessional conduct toward
00:09a player in Sunday's games.
00:11Now, Seaman was caught on camera saying F you to Trey McBride in the fourth quarter of Arizona's loss.
00:18Because he probably deserved it.
00:20He was arguing what pass interference call on Drew Phillips, who's the Giants cornerback.
00:24And it was a third and eight.
00:26It was a pivotal play and all that stuff.
00:27So Hill, he yelled and gestured at Eric Wilson, who's the Vikings linebacker during Minnesota's win.
00:33And he's had to get a knock down.
00:35So, OK, so I see where this is trending that you you think that the players deserved this reaction.
00:43OK, well, hold on, hold on, hold on.
00:45Because because listen, I think this is B.S. that these refs are talking about like there's a certain etiquette.
00:53You know, for a ref to like keep your cool, keep your calm and not say F you to a
00:57player.
00:58Imagine if that happened in the NBA.

01:25In the incident that happened with the Cardinals, the only reason why the referee got in trouble, because he didn't

01:33He got eye contact and cursed him out.

01:37If you think that these refs aren't giving these coaches the business on the sideline, when these coaches just start
01:44chewing them out, you don't think some of these line judges turn around and go, man, you better shut the

01:49Like, if you don't if you don't think this goes both ways, then I don't know what to tell you.
01:54What happened with the in the Viking game when he got knocked down, that's that feels like that was a

02:01But a suspension, it was crazy to me when these guys are missing calls that are right in front of

02:08If you're going to suspend them, suspend them for these calls y'all keep missing.

02:58But the suspending of the line judge, who had clearly been called a couple things, and, hey, hey, hey, hold

03:05You're going to watch your mouth talking to me.
03:07You know, sometimes you've got to earn your suspension.
03:09And I hope that the union backs these guys.
03:12I hope they're suspended with pay because, again, some of these, the things that get said to some of these
03:17referees are unbelievable.
03:19Like, look at what gets said to, look at what Draymond Green, the NBA is the worst because you can
03:23read lips.
03:24You can see body language.
03:26Some of the things that get said to these referees in the NBA, it's no different than what gets said
03:31to them at the NFL level.
03:32They are just told, don't throw flags on these things.
03:35Now, if they get to throw flags on things said to them, it will get cleaned up immediately in football.
03:41The basketball players take the tech.
03:44Some of the things that get said to some of these baseball umps, you can toss these guys, but you
03:49can read their lips.
03:50It's harder in football to really translate what has been said.
03:54And I've talked to some football guys after this.
03:56I have a guy on my show, Darren Carrington, who comes on my pod.
03:59Things get said to these referees, but because there's no mics on the field that they allow you to hear
04:04and you can't read their lips, it's mostly body language.
04:07Nasty things get said to them, too.

04:10You know, it's crazy because you're right about the NBA and the MLB.
04:14The MLB, they have hot mics on the field, so sometimes you do get to hear what they're saying to
04:18them.
04:18And it is absolutely cruel.
04:20It's foul what they're saying to them.
04:22And in the NBA, I mean, there's mics everywhere.
04:25Sometimes you pick it up just on a hot mic incident.
04:27And even that, like, it gets heated.
04:30And you're right about the thing why this is such a hot topic right now is because I feel like
04:38officials and players and the fans, it's under real hot water right now.
04:44I feel like officiating right now is at its worst with public perception and PR, right?
04:52I think that's where this comes from.
04:54And you think it's because of gambling?
04:55Well, 100% it's because of gambling.
04:57One hundred percent.
04:59Like, there's been awful calls.
05:01Every call missed is magnified because every call missed translates into a dollar loss.
05:07And if you don't, if people don't understand that from a betting perspective, I guarantee you people who put real
05:13money on these games, they absolutely need to know who's refereeing these games.
05:17Because that's huge in the NBA.
05:18There are guys, when they referee certain games in the NBA, you can book the winner.

05:26Like, oh, Scott Foster's refereeing the game.

05:29It's like, why?
05:30You can book the winner in some of these games, man, in the NBA.
05:33And that has hurt their reputation.
