00:00Paul Hamilton joining us.
00:01Paul Owen Power finishes off the game in a game where I think throughout
00:05everyone thought he was great to begin with, a fitting end to the game.
00:08And, you know, he's a player that we saw a lot from last year,
00:12a lot of growth and a lot of steps forward last year.
00:15And here he is in this game and probably whatever.
00:19I feel like expectations for him have to be through the roof
00:21the way he started this season.
00:22Yeah, before overtime, we have to, with about five minutes left,
00:27we have to tell PR, you know, who we'd like to talk to.
00:31And he was the guy I put in there.
00:33And quite honestly, I probably would have picked him the first star of the game
00:39had he not scored, even if he had not scored.
00:42That's how well I thought he had played in that game.
00:45And it's just amazing, you know, here he is with a goal and four assists,
00:50Buffalo's leading scorer.
00:52And he was their leading scorer in preseason, too.
00:55Oh, and it's only two games.
00:58He had four assists in two games.
01:00So he has what, a goal and eight assists, including the preseason,
01:05if you add in the two preseason games?
01:08I mean, that's nine points in, what have we got, five games we're talking about?
01:14So, and I ask him afterwards if he's making a concerted effort, you know,
01:19to play more offensively.
01:22And he said, well, I kind of thought my offensive game was fine.
01:27So he claims it's not an emphasis for him to improve his offensive play.
01:35But I think he has.
01:38I think it's just his whole game.
01:39And I liked his game last year.
01:41I liked his game in the playoffs.
01:43I thought last year as the season went on, he improved and he improved and he improved.
01:48And I think he's kept improving.
01:50I think his game is even better this year.
01:53So, you know, and it's typical for many defensemen.
01:58Darlene was the same way.
01:59I mean, it took him four years to become Rasmus Darlene.
02:04And, you know, it took Hedman a long time, three or four years.
02:09Carlson, three or four years.
02:11I mean, not everybody.
02:13I mean, Hughes stepped right in.
02:15McCarr stepped right in.
02:16Schneider last year stepped right in.
02:18But that's the outlier.
02:21I mean, and so, you know, I don't think it's really any shock that it took power a little while,
02:28too,
02:28to, you know, round himself into form, too, as a defenseman in this league.
