00:00We're here at Truist Park in Atlanta before Game 3 of the NLBS between the Dodgers and Braves.
00:05Big news today, Shohei Ohtani batting 5th in the Dodgers lineup.
00:09I don't really know how to feel about this in that, you know, if you're dropping him to 5th,
00:12obviously you're acknowledging that he's not right physically.
00:15Now, if he's not right physically, well, why is he kind of in the lineup?
00:17This feels a little bit, I don't know, a little scapegoat-y that if things don't go well,
00:22they're going to be able to point to like, well, we didn't have our guy going, you know, it's kind
00:25of his fault.
00:26It's not quite like Joe Torre batting A-Rod 8th in the playoffs that one year,
00:29but it's kind of heading a little bit in that direction.
00:32The reality is, is that Ohtani's numbers against Chris Sell have not been good.
00:36Ohtani's numbers over the last month and a half period have not been good.
00:39So maybe this was kind of inevitable at some point,
00:42but I do think that this does show kind of the urgency that the Dodgers feel going into Game 3
00:47of this series.
00:47They will, however, be countering with Yoshinobi Yamamoto,
00:50who every October seems to kind of over-deliver,
00:52and they're going to really need that kind of performance from Yamamoto today.
