00:00I want to celebrate and celebrate black artists.
00:02I just feel like if I'm going to dance to something like I feel like it's so
00:06important to have like a personal connection to it and I feel like from
00:10week to week like no matter what the theme is like there is an artist
00:13somewhere somehow that I like have them connected to and I feel like like
00:18tonight Luther Vandross never too much I grew up listening to that song in the
00:21car my parents love Motown they love R&B they love this style of music so I was
00:27like of course it has to be something you know like Luther but also I'm like I
00:32want to celebrate and celebrate black artists.
00:35The year I was with Chan that did a whole freestyle about it like I just think it's
00:38important to highlight in my opinion it's important to highlight the origin of where
00:42a lot of these styles of music come from which is black artists and black
00:45musicians and so when she is so adamant about that it makes my job so easy
00:51because I think that you should be supporting a lot of the sound and a lot
00:54of the music that has been I guess non commercialized or commercialized by a
00:58different a group and so I just think it's important to do that and I it's an
01:02honor to do it to be honest.
