06:17See you next time.
06:57Garnet,
07:06definitely,
07:07definitely,
07:07definitely come full circle.
07:08And this is the moment.
07:10And this is the moment.
07:38And I came up with this song.
07:50And I came up with this song.
08:07And I came up with this song.
08:08And I said, we don't know what love is.
08:08And sometimes we search and we look and we try to find love. And I've said this, you know, even
08:14this week. But most importantly, we don't realize that the love is within. The love that we've been searching on
08:22the outer appearance looking for validation from someone else.
08:28it's inside us what we really should be sure. So in this record, and I'm going to remix it,
08:34maybe you don't know what love is because you didn't take a little time. You didn't take that
08:40extra time for yourself. You didn't think things over, jumped into this situation. Maybe you jumped
08:46into this relationship. I'm only speaking from real life experiences. That's the only thing I
08:51can say. I don't know who I'm speaking to, but maybe you just signed up for that job and you
08:55took
08:55that extra responsibility without thinking it through. You didn't read between the lines.
09:02And in some cases, you didn't even read those red flags when you saw them. And because of that,
09:09situations show up. Because of the self-abandonment, because that's typically what it is when you start
09:15to do things without taking time, without questioning, without looking and checking and making sure that
09:19you're okay, you are abandoning yourself. And in some cases to make somebody else happy.
09:25And therefore, stuff happens. And we have to climb mountains. And we have to overcome.
09:33And we have to go through some things. I'm not going to say the word, but we got to go
09:37through
09:37some things. We got to go through some stuff in order to get back to where we need to be.
09:45Now, this is interesting because one of my mentors back in 2020, I didn't even understand. I didn't
09:53even know. She said, Laren, everything starts with self. And see, that loneliness that maybe you are
10:01searching for where you're saying, I want to know what love is and I'm outside looking. Once you start
10:06to look at self, once you start to turn back inward and ground yourself and center yourself,
10:12check this out. All of a sudden, something strange happens. And that loneliness becomes happiness.
10:21True awareness is when you understand and you know who you are.
10:28Now, I wrote this down here. Love will find you when you find you and you understand and you know
10:37what your purpose is. But I'm going to take it back to the top. A lot of times, love will
10:41not find you
10:42and you can't find it because you're too busy looking on the outside. You're too busy seeking
10:48validation. You're not taking that time, that little extra time for yourself. You're not thinking
10:54things over. You're not reading between the lines of your own life. You're not looking at those red
10:59flags, those warnings when situations show up and present themselves. So we're going to go through a
11:07journey today. And the person that you see here today, and I've said this before, did not show up
11:12overnight. I had to change before my life could change. So we're going to take this journey tonight.
11:19And I want to take this journey with you. Song of the day. I want to know what love is.
11:251984 by Foreigner.
11:37We had a powerful episode. We got Miss Lisa coming in shortly. And grab your pens, grab your journals,
11:47take some notes, because I most certainly am. All right, let's see what we got going on here today.
12:06Hello, hello, hello. Hello, hello. How are you? I'm doing good. Welcome to the 411 podcast. How are you?
12:16I'm excited, Larry, and I'm ready to be here. That's awesome. So where are you calling from?
12:25I am in Kansas City, just south of Kansas City, which sits right on the border between Kansas and
12:33Missouri. I'm on the Kansas side, if you know the area. Well, I will tell you that I drove to
12:43Branson, Missouri, all the way from New Jersey. Oh, my gosh, that's a drive.
12:50It sure was. Now, ask me if I would do it again.
12:55Would you do it again?
12:59No, no. I don't know how long it took. I think it was like over 20 some odd hours to
13:07get there.
13:07It was. I believe it. But yeah. But one thing that I do realize is that was it Illinois or
13:15maybe
13:15it was Kansas. I'm not sure, but there's absolutely nothing to see when you're driving.
13:22Illinois and Indiana, you drive across the states. It is farmland.
13:31But I don't remember it being super exciting in Kansas either.
13:37Well, yes, I would say Western Kansas. If you drive from Kansas City to Denver,
13:44you start off and you go, oh, this is OK. You know, there are hills like Lawrence, Kansas,
13:51the University of Kansas. Very hilly. And then the further you go west, boy, it sure flattens right
13:59out. You're in the wheat fields. So, yeah, very similar. Yeah. OK. OK. Well, needless to say,
14:09if I do head in that area again, I most certainly will be getting on a plane. I won't be
14:14driving.
14:15OK. Good. Will not be driving. So the airport's all nude. So it's really nice.
14:24And the weather, I guess it can be kind of interesting, huh? Windy and tornadoes and weird
14:30stuff like that. I remember seeing stuff about tornadoes and running for shelter.
14:36Yes. Yeah, we do get some some good storms. I end up taking my dogs down to the basement at
14:43least,
14:43I'd say, twice a year.
14:49No, I wouldn't do that. No, absolutely not. No, I'll visit you when the weather is good. I'm OK.
14:57OK. All right. So thank you for coming on again. Please let us know, you know, where who you are
15:07and where we can get in contact with you before we get into our conversation here tonight.
15:14Sure. I am a financial advisor and investment manager for women or for couples where the woman
15:25takes the lead role in managing money for the family. I am. My company is called Clear Springs
15:34Wealth because I love the idea of money coming out of a clear, fresh spring continually.
15:43So Clear Springs Wealth. And I'm on Instagram and TikTok and Facebook at that handle as well.
15:50Clear Springs Wealth. And yeah, my website is the best way to get a hold of me. I have a
15:56contact me
15:57or you can schedule a free consult right off my website page. So.
16:03OK. Clear, Clear Springs Wealth. I love it. And I noticed that you primarily assist women.
16:12How did that come? Is that fair question? Yeah, I am 52 years old, almost 53 and have never
16:22been married and have always wanted to be married, but it just never has happened for me. And I have
16:33felt very poignantly the challenges of being a single person and trying to plan for the future and manage money
16:42and go through life and make those huge financial decisions alone. And I think there are a lot of women
16:52that relate to that either divorce, widowed, never married like myself. And I just I have a heart for
17:03people who have or are dealing with that. And I think the financial industry is really set up to be
17:13a bit difficult to understand. And so when I decided I wanted to change careers and do something
17:22different, I took a look at myself and tried to evaluate what did I enjoy doing that other people
17:28didn't really enjoy doing. And it was stocks, trading, management, investing. And I thought,
17:37ooh, that's where I hopefully can add value, you know, and serve others who, man, I get it. It's hard.
17:50That's pretty awesome. I'm going to back up a little bit and then I'm going to move forward.
17:54And, you know, I'm kind of a little jokester, but people who have listened to me for a while,
18:01you know where I've been, you know my life story. But I just want to say, consider yourself lucky
18:06that you have never been married. Absolutely.
18:16Had money issues because of that, you know, but that's where you come in. So just consider yourself
18:22lucky sometimes. Well, thank you. Yeah, it's funny to me how many times, you know, married people will
18:30say, well, not bad, you know, and it's true, right? Like, if you're married, you have married
18:37people problems. And if you're single, you have single person problems. So it's always the grass
18:45seems greener on the other side of the fence. But I'm constantly trying to remind myself, you know,
18:52we're going to have issues and challenges in this life. It's just a matter of which select or default
19:00to, I guess. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. We write our own stories. So if you are equipped mentally,
19:08you'll write a beautiful story. If you have a lot of chaos going on internally and you haven't done
19:12your work, then you'll script something that will show up in your reality. So absolutely. I agree with
19:18that. I'm a joke. I'm a jokester. Everyone who was in love, you know, I love it. And I wish
19:25it all for
19:25you. But and I always say that I wouldn't do it again. But if it happens to happen to me
19:32again in
19:33the future. Yeah, I've learned something which is called a prenuptial agreement. And there's nothing
19:38wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. So you said something that I that sparked an
19:50interest in me. You said you decided to change and shifts and do something that you felt passionate
19:57about something that you as my friend Mary says, something that lit you up something that lights
20:04you up. What was that point as as we talk about the title of before? I had to change before
20:10my life
20:11could change. What was that change in point for you? Yeah, I had worked for large consulting companies,
20:19namely Accenture. And had the opportunity book now meta. And I moved to California. And it was
20:30culture shock for me coming from the Midwest to Silicon Valley. But meta was a phenomenal company
20:39to work for. And I felt challenged and, you know, was working with international teams, I was in
20:50recruitment specifically. And it was extremely stressful. And it was recruiting work that I
21:00had been doing for, you know, 18 to 20 years at that point. And it was the same, it was
21:09like the same
21:09challenges, different day, same challenges, different day, same challenge, same pushback, same corporate,
21:17you know, issues, same hiring manager expectations, same. It was it. The challenges were starting to just get
21:29repetitive to me versus interesting, new challenges to solve. And at the same time, the stress was really
21:42starting to take a toll on me, I think my, my weight was the highest it had ever been. For
21:48me, I always
21:49turn to food when I get stressed out, at least that's the story, you know, that I've, I've bought into
21:55in
21:56the past. And I'm changing that now. But that was something where I thought my health is suffering. I'm not
22:05excited to go to work every day. I'm away from my family out here on the West Coast by myself.
22:12And so that's
22:13when I had to take a hard look and say, Okay, what do you want life to be like in
22:18six months? What do you want to be
22:22different in 12 months, or three years or five years? Are you going to keep doing this? Are you
22:28going to weigh, you know, 600 pounds and be extremely rich and then die at, you know, 50? Are you
22:36going
22:36to, you know, so it was one of those, like, I really had to reevaluate what I wanted out of
22:41life. And I
22:41wanted relationships with my family. I wanted to be present for my parents, who are in the Midwest,
22:49I wanted to be present with my nieces and nephews who are all in the Midwest. And yeah, I just
22:57felt
22:57really drawn. And I wanted to take some time and figure out, Okay, what do we what do I do
23:04from
23:04here? Where do I go from here? And luckily, you know, working at Meta, I had some Meta stock that
23:11gave me
23:12bought me some time so that I could really come back to the Midwest settle down and go, Okay, now
23:21what?
23:22Yeah, yeah, that's a powerful story. And so we're in that situation. And for true inspiration,
23:30people who feel like they're stuck on a hamster wheel, where they go to work, and it's the same
23:35challenge over and over and over again. Nothing's changing. It's like you're stuck on a hamster wheel,
23:41you're not being challenged, because it's the same challenge every single day. And you've seen this
23:45story before, you're not being mentally challenged. And right, I've been there. I've been there before.
23:53What advice do you have for someone who might be in that situation?
24:00My advice is to once you start to feel that dissatisfaction,
24:09not in fact, most people don't have the luxury of quitting their job and taking some time to reassess.
24:16So you kind of have to plan that amidst the busy life you're already leading. I recommend hiring a
24:26coach, like a life coach or an executive coach, to help you talk. There are books that that I think
24:35are really helpful in thinking through what you want your life to look like. I also encourage people
24:41to lean into their spirituality, because before we make any change, we have to be in contact with
24:52our creator who made us and gave us unique gifts and abilities, be spending time in prayer, not only
25:01talking, but also sitting quiet and listening, and letting you know, the spirit kind of move you in. And it
25:11is
25:11crazy to me how, if I will take time to listen, how a thought will pop into my head, or
25:20the name of somebody
25:21will pop into my head, or, you know, and it's just the person I needed to talk to to get
25:26advice from, or it's just the
25:28thought I needed to, to meditate on a little longer and figure out next steps. So to schedule that time,
25:36it could be, you know, I'm going to schedule for the next four Saturdays, two hours, every Saturday
25:42morning. And I'm going to go to a coffee shop with my headphones and a journal, or I'm going to,
25:50you know,
25:51go sit in my closet with a flashlight. And I'm going to, you know, like go some place that isn't
25:59part of
25:59your and create a space to talk creator and listen. And ask questions like, what am I uniquely gifted to
26:12do?
26:12What do I, when do I feel most alive? When do I, you know, they talk about getting in that
26:21state of flow?
26:22When do I lose track of time? Because I'm, I'm enjoying what I'm doing so much. Those are all hints.
26:31Oh, I love it. I love it.
26:33What you're called to do.
26:37Ladies and gentlemen, when do I lose time? What say that again? When do I lose track of time? Because
26:43I love, because I love what I'm doing so much. Ladies and gentlemen, I Laren Gaines lose so much
26:54track of time when I am focusing on everything black diamond consultations.
27:01Sometimes I have to remind myself, okay, it's time to go and eat now.
27:10That's a great, yeah, that's a great sign that tells you you're, you're, you're doing the right
27:16thing. You're doing something that's aligned to who you were created to be.
27:21And that is so powerful. And, and, and the world, the enemy, um, however you want to,
27:28you know, slice it or dice it, it's set up on purpose to keep us from our purpose. You have
27:36social
27:36media, you have people on your job, you have the TV, you have the movies that come out, the streaming
27:43platforms that are everywhere. Um, your friends who are not aligned properly, even family members,
27:51constantly, a lot of chatter going on full circle that silence. Like I said, in the beginning,
27:58I said, take the time to think, uh, you didn't think things over. You didn't read the red flags.
28:07You didn't read between the lines. All of these things are set up on purpose to keep us out of
28:14our purpose. So if you feel that you're misaligned, unplug, unplug for a little bit.
28:21Yep. Yep. Take time to reflect.
28:28Now for a financial advisor, I always say plenty of times on my show, I am not a financial advisor.
28:35I'm not a financial planner. I'm just a financial coach. I basically help people with build a better
28:43relationship with their money. You do something completely different. Can you let everyone know
28:48what a financial advisor does? Because that is a question that I get asked so many times.
28:54Sure. Sure. I needed to find out myself. It is someone who
29:04helps you get organized financially. So a lot of people, if they work multiple jobs, you have
29:14401Ks or 403Bs, retirement accounts at previous employers that you've left behind and it's invested,
29:23but you know, um, you have a bill that you go, gosh, I hate my tax bill every year. It's
29:31so high.
29:32And I don't, I wonder if there's things I could be doing better, or I really want to buy a
29:37house.
29:38Like you have goals, financial goals, but you're not sure how you'd ever get enough money saved up for
29:43a down payment. Or you think about retirement and you're not sure what you want that to look like.
29:51You're not sure what age you could retire at, um, how much money you would need to have saved.
29:58If you have X amount saved, what kind of lifestyle does that mean? Like what would your monthly allowance
30:05be so to speak? Um, so a financial planner comes alongside of you and helps you answer those types
30:13of questions. So I love when I have, um, a client who says, okay, I, I have old 401Ks at
30:23three different
30:24places and I've been investing in this brokerage account. Sure. If I'm invested in the right stuff
30:32or growing that much. And I know the market's been doing well. And so I don't know why it isn't
30:37growing as fast as the S and P 500, which is the top 500 stocks in the stock market. Um,
30:47so it's a, you know, it's typically some kind of a question that sparks someone to reach out to me.
30:53And then my greatest joy comes from helping people discover what it is they're going for,
31:05like what it is they want their money to provide for them. Because we all, you know, we all go
31:12around
31:13going, Oh, I want to be rich. I want as much money as possible. Oh, there's nothing wrong with one.
31:18Like, I get that. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a multimillionaire, but to what end,
31:26like, what is it you're trying to accomplish? And some people come to me and say, Oh, Lisa,
31:33I'm never going to be able to retire, you know, X amount of money saved. And I'm like, well,
31:37let's talk about like, what does retirement look like to you? And does it have to involve
31:43a yacht off of, you know, the coast of Monte Carlo, or is it a three bedroom, one and a
31:52half bath ranch
31:53home in a location near your family and friends where you're involved in community and feel like
32:00you're contributing to the work, you know, like, so it's that, that thought partner that I love to be
32:08to people to help them think through what is it that the money is trying to accomplish for you.
32:14Because once you know that it's so much easier to change your behavior or save more or redirect how
32:23your money's getting invested, or if, if we're able to answer those bigger questions first.
32:31I love that. When you were saying, does it consist of a yacht? Or does it consist of this? Does
32:38it
32:38consist of that? A lot of people, at least from what I have been told is, once they get to
32:45millionaire
32:46status, they're like, this is it? I'm a millionaire? This is what it, this is what it takes to be
32:56a
32:56millionaire. And you mean to tell me I still can't do X, Y, and Z? I'm a millionaire now, but
33:04I still,
33:05so I think that's pretty interesting that you say that. I bet that's something that's a true eye
33:10opener for some people who you deal with. I know it is for me. Like, oh, a millionaire. And then
33:20the
33:20other, on the flip side of it, so many people look at it and they look at millionaire status.
33:29It's a shame and unfortunate that sometimes they feel that they are not worthy of being a millionaire.
33:37Yeah. Yeah. They rule it out as being a possibility before
33:41even looking at what it would take, you know. And that's, go ahead.
33:50Oh, no. I was going to say there are so many stories of people, you know, janitors with two
33:57million dollars in the bank, just because they were smart with their savings. And, you know, like,
34:04so it's, I always try to encourage people to be like, no, you can be a millionaire. You absolutely,
34:12anyone can be a millionaire. What are you, what are you doing it for though? Number one. And what are
34:19you
34:19willing to sacrifice to get there? And maybe it does sacrifice for you, but a lot of times it does.
34:31So now I do something on this show, which is called burning questions. So I love to ask
34:39this question, which takes us on a whole nother journey here. So the burning question that I have
34:48for you is what was the moment you realized that changing your circumstances meant changing something
34:55within yourself? Once I decided to leave my corporate job, I felt immediate freedom and joy,
35:22like I hadn't experienced in years. But it wasn't long. And then self-doubt and lack of identity
35:36and lack of feeling important anymore came in, rushed in. And I realized so much of my ego
35:52had been built around my identity as a corporate executive, big company. And I was flying, you know, to Dublin
36:02and London and Singapore, and I was important. And I was in business class. And I was, you know, like
36:11I,
36:11all these things that I thought at the time were like, Oh, part of the job, not a big deal.
36:19Once I didn't have them
36:20anymore. My little ego just was so crushed because I was like, I'm not important anymore. I don't know
36:30what, you know, I'm not, I'm not flying business class. I'm not this, I'm not that, you know, like,
36:36it was such a, a eye opener to say, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, where, where does your value come from?
36:45Where does, where is your worth? It wasn't set up, you know, and, and without meaning to or without
36:54knowing it was happening, you know, when you're working your tail off and you start to,
37:02yeah, that ego starts to get a bit inflated and, and you start to think you're hot stuff.
37:07And then you go, okay, so without that stuff. And so I'd say my ego had to change my way
37:17of thinking
37:18about worth and self-worth had to change. And it wasn't overnight. It was something that, you know,
37:28gosh, I'm still, I'm still figuring it out. I just got back from a, a family vacation
37:34um, in Portugal, uh, for a week and it was so fun. Um, but it brought back all these old
37:45emotions
37:45where I was, you know, I was like, Oh, I remember how cool it was to be in the United
37:52club and eating
37:54it, you know, a little finger sandwich with a gin and tonic and stupid stuff that I was like, Oh,
38:01and now I'm nobody now. I, you know, no, I can't do this. You know? So it's like,
38:08you think you've dealt with it once, but constant reiteration of who you are and where you get your
38:16worth from. And I don't know how I do that without my relationship with God. Like, wow, that is, I
38:23would
38:23be lost about it. I'd be lost. So powerful. Um, your story is so inspirational to so many people.
38:35Um, and I thank you so much for sharing. When I look at my life, uh, one thing that I
38:41have to
38:41say for you is it's a good thing that you walked away. And this is what I try to, you
38:46know, let people
38:47know, um, understand and know who you are, know what your purpose is, and you're in a good position
38:53when you can walk away. So sometimes we sign up for these roles. We take on these positions and
39:01we become brainwashed or whatever you want to call it. And then you're sitting around, you know, 15,
39:0720 years after being in a position, I don't know who I'm speaking to. I'm only speaking from real life
39:11experiences. And then you sit down and you say, this is not me. This is boring. This is not me.
39:17And when you go home and you spend time with your family or you're, you're out and you're not,
39:22you don't have the suit on, or you don't have the uniform on, or you're not helping the customers,
39:26or you're not doing this, you're not doing that. You're like, who am I? So I think it is so
39:31powerful
39:32that you were able to walk away. Some of us, we weren't able to walk away. We had to walk
39:39away.
39:39We were pushed to walk away when the powers that be decided to turn around and do the 180.
39:45That's what my mentor says, Laren, when they do the 180 on you, how are you going to act when
39:49they
39:49do the 180 on you? They love you today, but then they can hate you tomorrow. So that is a
39:55beautiful
39:55story that you were able to take control and change that. But I do know that some people
40:00who are listening to me and they've shared their stories with me, they were in a position where
40:06someone turned and did the 180 and then now they were facing, they were stuck or they lost their job
40:11because there was somebody younger or somebody that they can hire that was a little less expensive,
40:18whatever the case may be. So that is a powerful, powerful, powerful story and such a great inspiration
40:27to so many people. Thank you for sharing that. Yeah. Yeah. I, I'd like to say, you know,
40:36here's the three steps to make sure that doesn't happen to you. Um, but oh gosh, we're each on such
40:43individual journeys and yeah, it's that constant, constant things could be one way one day and
40:52completely different the next day. And so where are you going to find your stability? Yeah.
40:59And I love how you help, uh, women, you help, uh, single parents. Um, there's been so many people
41:05who come to me and they say, Laren, I'd like to take financial coaching, but my husband is not on
41:10board.
41:11And I've had people where they've said, Laren, I've saved so much money, but my spouse, they, you know,
41:17bought a new car or they did whatever. And I'm thinking of leaving, um, you're, you're helping
41:22people take control of their financial situation so that they are not stuck and they're not felt
41:30like they're being left or abandoned in a situation. Like they're abandoning themselves just to stay in
41:37the situation. So, and someone actually brought it to my attention last week when I was, um,
41:43having a conversation, they said, Laren, helping a single person or a single parent
41:51or whatever the case may be is so powerful because the conversations that you have with that person,
41:57that could be the next steps, that could be the education, that could be the breakthrough that
42:01could take them away from the situation that could potentially save their life.
42:06Ooh, yeah. Yeah. And when that was set to me, I was like, wow. So now you really have an
42:17obligation
42:17to make sure that you look out for people who are in crisis situation, look out for people who, um,
42:24are attached to somebody, but maybe they might not want to, you know, it just comes so full circle. So
42:29you do such a powerful work with that. Hmm. Thank you. Thank you.
42:37So we are up against the clock almost at the top of the hour. I do want to say thank
42:42you so much for
42:43coming on and sharing your story, sharing what you do. Is there one last thing that you'd like to add,
42:49uh, you know, for the community to share with the community before we get out of here?
42:54I would just encourage someone who's listening to this today and feeling,
43:01feeling like it's too hard to figure out money is just, you know, I'm never going to be a smart
43:07investor or I could never, you know, those are stories and they're false stories. They're false
43:14narratives. You absolutely have the intelligence and the, um, wherewithal to figure out your finances,
43:26um, or to make plans, make goals. Uh, one thing I would encourage people to do is many financial
43:35advisors on their website, offer a free consultation, like a meet and greet, get to know us kind of call.
43:44If you have financial questions, go from financial advisor site to financial advisor site and just
43:51take them up on the free calls. Like if you, if you just need a little push to get going,
43:58um,
44:00you know, like I, it, but you're not ready for a, an actual financial, you don't have, uh, much money
44:08to invest yet. Take advantage of the free advice and because it is accessible to you and you can
44:17absolutely change the course of your financial destiny. Well, that is so amazing that you shared
44:26that information. I'm definitely going to, uh, you know, put that out there for the team and, um,
44:33yes, financial advisor. We had our first financial advisor show up on a show here,
44:38let you know exactly what it is for financial advising, which is great. Um, for some reason
44:43in my, uh, when it comes to financial coaches and financial advisors, I find, uh, financial advisors,
44:50I have in the past, like very intimidating, but you, um, open, open up the door and let's say this
44:58is regular, normal, everyday person. Look at that. So go ahead and reach out to miss Lisa.
45:03Absolutely. I'm here. I'm here for you. Do you get that a lot? Cause it's financial advisor. Do you
45:10get that a lot like, or no, or is that just layering? No, I think there's a little bit of
45:19that. And the other thing that I deal with is like, I, there's a lot of, um, mistrust,
45:27like, Oh, financial advisors, just going to try to sell me universal life insurance. Oh, great. You
45:32know, they're going to try to sell me a product. They're going to try to. And, um, and so that's
45:38where
45:38I, I try to say, yeah, there are those kind of product driven. I'm trying to sell you an insurance
45:46policy if I need, but if you look for a fiduciary, which is just a big word that means someone
45:52is
45:53looking out for your best interest. Like, like myself, I don't sell any products. I have access
45:58to wholesalers. Like I could shop products with you for you, but my pay does not at all depend upon
46:07whether or not you buy a life insurance policy. Um, so, so yeah. So I think that's the other
46:14thing that's common is people go, Oh, they're just trying to get me like, sell me something.
46:20And I'm like, yeah, there are those people out there, but there are also financial advisors
46:26to our fiduciaries sell products and they, all they are measured on is how they help you.
46:35So, yeah, I'm so glad you broke, broke down that word too, because most people don't know
46:40what that means. So thank you for that as well. Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. It's like,
46:47why do we have such difficult terms? I don't know, but, um, yeah, find someone that'll be,
46:55yeah, that'll be a whole nother podcast of why things are set up and why, um,
46:59um, school systems don't teach money and things like that, you know?
47:04Yes. Yes. Totally agree.
47:08But then I guess maybe we wouldn't be here if that's the case, right?
47:12Yeah, that's true. Right, right. Thank you so much for coming on. This is so much fun and I look
47:24forward to speaking with you in the future. Oh, thanks so much, Laren. Keep up what you're doing.
47:30It's amazing. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Take care. As I always say, have a good night,
47:37but it's day. So I get my nights and days mixed up, but yeah, take care. Thank you so much.
47:45See you.
47:46You bet. All right, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it. That was Miss Lisa Clements. Go ahead.
48:01That was an amazing conversation, uh, built on, you know, transformation. And again, that's what it's
48:09about here on transformational Tuesday. Great story. You know, if you've been here for a minute,
48:15I've shared my story. I've told you everything about how I transformed and it most certainly
48:20wasn't overnight. Lisa definitely did let us know that this wasn't something that happened overnight.
48:27And even with you looking at other people's stories, you know, hanging around other people,
48:35they might be a little intimidating, but that is one of the best thing that you could possibly do
48:39possibly do is to get around something that is unfamiliar because where you are right now
48:48is based on everything that is familiar to you. You know, exactly how to do exactly everything that
48:56you're doing right now. If I rewind and I look back to 2020, I was like, this is a disaster.
49:05I know I'm capable of doing better financially. I could see that the roller coaster is getting ready
49:12to drop. And unless I do something different, this is going to end up being a complete disaster.
49:18So from 2020 to 2022, I kept cleaning up my finances, getting out of consumer debt, asking
49:26questions, going inward, um, spiritually asking God, what is it that you need me to learn?
49:33What is it? Why am I experiencing this over and over again? The minute that I get money,
49:38the next minute it's gone. All of these situations over and over and over again,
49:44led me to the right people, led me to the right places. So when there are, uh, big words like
49:51what
49:51Lisa was speaking about today, I understand what they are. I understand what stocks are now. I
49:57understand what the market is. I understand, you know, cryptocurrency, all of these things that
50:03before 2020, it was like very intimidating. I didn't know what to do. Um, I, I meant it that
50:11I put my money in one situation. If it went South, I hurried up and, and, and, and pulled it
50:17out. And
50:18you know, having a scarcity mindset again, before things can change, you have to change within
50:28that's the, and it's a transformation. It's over a period of time, tiny baby steps. Best that I can't
50:34give you any advice, just in my opinion, the best thing that you could possibly do is to get around
50:39somebody who knows a little bit more than you find a mentor say, Hey, listen, I don't know anything
50:48about this. That's the first thing that I said. When someone started speaking to me about stocks years
50:52ago, I said, listen, I don't know anything about investing. I would love to know about it. Um,
50:57I just need somebody to teach me and somebody actually took the time to say, Hey, listen,
51:03this is what I know. I can tell you what I know. And then I took whatever they gave me.
51:07And then I
51:07just built it a pond and I started to get into different rooms and read different books and
51:12different podcasts and different situations. But again, transformation, tiny little baby steps
51:19change had to start within. I stopped going to certain places that no longer serve me.
51:25I stopped talking to people. I started unplugging. It all comes back full circle.
51:31So, and it, with that being said, I want to say thank you all so much for tuning in
51:37on this great transformational Tuesday. That conversation today with Lisa definitely
51:41was transformational for me. And again, when I minister to you, I minister to myself.
51:48So having somebody like Lisa on today, having Jonathan on yesterday, these conversations
51:55definitely help take us on our journey together. Thank you all so much for joining in. And on that
52:00note, ladies and gentlemen, I will see you when I see you. Next up, we have Miss Shanti Refuge coming
52:07in.
52:08Thank you all so much. Take care. And even though I know that it might be in the morning, good
52:14night.
52:20I will see you in the morning, good night.
52:21Oh,
52:34good night.
52:34Okay.
52:43Bye.
52:43Bye.
