00:02It's this one to left. Collins drifting back toward the wall. It's gone!
00:09A solo shot for Ozzie for the first run of the season.
00:14Well that'll work. Three batters in. Ozzie Albee's just inside that pole.
00:19Genius move.
00:22Steves just cannot seem to find it right now.
00:24Here's Smith to try to win it.
00:26Dom Smith hits it deep to right field.
00:30Back on it and what a way to close.
00:34Walk-off grand slam in his Braves debut.
00:38Dom Smith, welcome to Atlanta.
00:41A six-run comeback for the Braves in the ninth.
00:47And Smith slams him to a walk-off win and a 2-0 start on the season.
00:51Tigers acquired him.
00:54Uh-oh.
00:55To right and deep.
00:56If it's fair, it's gone!
01:00That's a homer!
01:01And the Braves grab the lead here in the ninth.
01:07Ozzie Albee's his second in two nights here in Arizona.
01:27He stood up on him.
01:29Left center!
01:30Deep!
01:32Gone!
01:33Back-to-back!
01:40Olsen homers in consecutive nights.
01:43Just like Albee's.
01:45Just like that.
01:46It's 2-0.
01:47Albee's hugging the line.
01:53386 feet there.
01:55Olsen opposite field.
01:59One of the deepest parts of the park.
02:10Ronald Acuna Jr.
02:12Hits it high!
02:13Deep!
02:14And gone!
02:15His first of the year!
02:17Ties the game!
02:19Well, it didn't come until game 14, but it was worth the wait.
02:23Take a look at the pitch here again.
02:24Ronald did a nice job of laying off the breaking balls that were below the zone earlier in the at
02:29-bat.
02:29And so Ciccone goes in the zone and regress it immediately.
02:34411 feet later, Ronald's got number one on the year.
02:40Smith out to left center.
02:42Marcy is in!
02:44He won't get it!
02:46They are circling the bases!
02:50Smith opened a bottle of Dab on him!
02:53And he gives the Braves the lead in the 8!
03:12This dude is unbelievable.
03:13He does it again.
03:15You see the breaking ball there.
03:17That's the slider.
03:17They were hesitant to throw him the fastball.
03:20He has been so good on fastballs.
03:22The adjustment made for Dom Smith as he drills that into left center field.
03:26And he just continues to dominate with runners in scoring position.
03:31This has been incredible.
03:37Harris ready for this one.
03:39He's got it.
03:40Braves win!
03:41Six in a row for Atlanta.
03:44That's a great job by Pyams to get it done and do it really quickly.
03:48No action at all.
03:49That's good for Rysell Iglesias.
03:51Good for the Braves.
03:52And another good night.
03:53This team is playing extremely well.
03:54The defense showing up again.
03:56We saw some really good plays including the one that we saw from Matteo.
03:59And then taking advantage of the mistakes of your opponent.
04:02That was a big part of what we saw here tonight.
04:06Michael Harris drills this down the line.
04:10That is crushed!
04:12The top deck for Michael Harris.
04:16And the Braves are right back in it.
04:22We always talk about how the hitter will let you know.
04:26I don't think Michael knew.
04:27Seeing Michael go nine for his last 16.
04:30He blasts this to left.
04:32Lyle to the wall!
04:34It's another one!
04:37A second for Michael Harris.
04:40The second.
04:41And the Braves all of a sudden have quickly taken the lead in D.C.
04:53As he takes off.
04:55Matt Olsen drills it towards the gap!
04:59It is gone!
05:02Truist magic tonight!
05:04A walk-off winner for Olsen!
05:08Matt Olsen is your hero.
05:11A two-run job to right center that he smoked.
05:15And the Braves win it in our 22-9.
05:18He had great swings all night.
05:20And Ozzie took off.
05:22But that pitch right there, if you're mad, you're ready for it.
05:26And I thought he smoked this.
05:27The only question was if it was going to be high enough.
05:29And all of a sudden you saw the bullpen raise their hands.
05:32And I thought that ball's gone.
05:33And what a way to end it.
05:35We just said Jansen's given up two walk-off home runs.
05:39Matt Olsen makes it a third.
05:40The Braves' largest comeback win ever at Coors Field was when they were down six runs in May of 2012.
05:46Same story tonight.
05:47They were down 6-0.
05:50Michael Harris hits it high!
05:52Michael Harris hits it deep!
05:56And Michael Harris gives the Braves the lead!
06:00Eight unanswered for Atlanta!
06:02Who's being locked in and there's being where Michael Harris is right now.
06:06He is absolutely on fire.
06:08Pitch coming to Matt Olsen.
06:11And Olsen out to center field.
06:16There it is!
06:17Number 300!
06:20Back-to-back for Atlanta.
06:22Olsen after Ozzie.
06:24And it's 3-0.
06:25And one that Matt Olsen will always remember.
06:29He is the 166th player in Major League Baseball history to hit the 300 home run mark.
06:39Yastrzemski out to west center!
06:41It drops down!
06:43It gets by Rafaela!
06:45It's a walk-off Friday night winner in Atlanta!
06:49How impressive there for Yaz.
06:51Left on left.
06:53Couldn't get the bunt down.
06:54You know he's frustrated with himself, but he's been locked in.
06:57He's been seeing the baseball very well lately.
06:59And just an absolutely beautiful piece of hitting.
07:02When you are facing a left-handed reliever.
07:04Especially one who's done so well this year.
07:07Trump!
07:08Line drive!
07:09It's down!
07:10Eli White's coming home!
07:13How much fun is this team?
07:23Not bad for a guy who spent the first six innings on the bench tonight.
07:27Almost seen pitch last time he lined up the middle.
07:30Look at that short, quick swing to it.
07:32This team continues to just find ways to win ball game.
07:38Ronald Acuna Jr.
07:41With a grand slam!
07:44Over the monster!
07:46He had been slumping.
07:48He had been fighting himself.
07:50This was crushed.
07:52Ninety-three miles an hour.
07:53Two-seamer right down the middle.
07:55And all home runs are not created equal.
07:57Ronald knew it as soon as he hit it.
07:59And watch this ball sail over the green monster.
08:02And nearly over everything.
08:05Or maybe it did get over everything.
08:07For that grand slam.
08:09Back to the top and Ronald Acuna Jr.
08:12And Ronald Acuna Jr. puts it in the air.
08:16Deep to right.
08:17Three homers in three games.
08:21As Acuna Jr. continues to heat up.
08:24And he's tied this game at two.
08:27This is not a terrible pitch.
08:29It's just kind of down middle.
08:31And Acuna just stays on this ball.
08:34Just kind of ends up in the front row.
08:35That's what Ronald Acuna Jr. can do.
08:37When he gets going, there's nobody better.
08:40Two men are out of the ninth inning.
08:41Back to the top of the order now.
08:42Ronald Acuna Jr.
08:43Acuna to center field.
08:45He already has one tonight.
08:48There's another!
08:49Ronald Acuna all of a sudden is on an absolute tear.
08:54The former MVP is putting Major League Baseball on notice.
08:59Down out over the plate.
09:01Gets it out front.
09:02He knew it right away.
09:03I wasn't so sure this was going to make it.
09:05He just gets out.
09:07And what they used to say in NBA Jam.
09:08He's heating up.
09:11One two to Riley.
09:14Into the corner and right.
09:15It is gone.
09:17The fourth home run of the night for the Atlanta Braves.
09:21Matching their total from the series opener last night.
09:25And like I mentioned before, you never know what can get a guy going.
09:28This is a little cutter that stays up.
09:30Austin Riley shoots this ball to right field.
09:32He gets out of the ballpark in a hurry.
09:36And he sends a high one deep to left.
09:38Reynolds towards the gap.
09:39It is gone!
09:41Two run home run.
09:43Joey Barr.
09:46And just like that, the Braves offense shows up with two outs in the eighth.
09:51What we talked about earlier.
09:53Facing your former catchers.
09:55And Joey Bart hit that deep fly ball the first time.
09:57This time a little bit more.
09:59And enough to get it out of here.
10:01The 3-1 pitch.
10:03Swing and a drive.
10:04Deep right field.
10:05And Yastrzemski with a grand slam.
10:10Insurance and then some in the ninth inning for Atlanta.
10:13And you put yourself in that hitter's count.
10:163-1.
10:16You can sit heater.
10:17And he hammered it.
10:20Drake Baldwin hits it high in the air.
10:23Out to right center.
10:24Toward the wall.
10:27And into the bullpen!
10:30Baldwin is 5-for-5 with two homers!
10:34I mean, just path right direct to the ball.
10:37I agree.
10:38Both center and left are kind of coming, converging right at that wall.
10:41And it just carried enough.
10:44Wow.
10:4510-for-14.
10:48Unbelievable.
10:49And there is the veteran.
10:51Chris Sale.
10:51His 19th start of the season.
10:53His 68th since putting on that Atlanta Braves uniform.
10:57And Sale starts his day off with a strikeout.
11:00And not surprising at all here.
11:02The opportunity to get some chase with Fernando Tatis Jr.
11:06And that slider that is down.
11:08Wow.
11:09Great start for Sale.
11:11He got Tatis and Renjifo.
11:13He was way off balance there.
11:15Struck him out.
11:16He strikes out all three.
11:18Rack him up in the truck.
11:20But he's striking out here to end the top of the second.
11:24Here is pitch number eight to France.
11:26And he gets him elevated at 95.
11:291-2.
11:30Zapped him.
11:30Swung on at a fastball.
11:32Tipped it into the bit of Baldwin.
11:33Another strikeout by Sale.
11:34He has six in the game and one down here in the fourth inning.
11:38Swing and a miss.
11:38So Sale now he's starting to get into a groove.
11:41He's already racked up seven strikeouts.
11:43He has struck out his last two times against Sale.
11:47Ozzie diving stop from his knees.
11:51Side retired.
11:52This would be strikeout number nine for Sale.
11:55There it is.
11:56And not surprising on that slider back foot right down.
11:59Perfectly located to get the swing over the top.
12:02From Xander Bogarts.
12:04Double digit strikeouts for the third time this season for Chris Sale.
12:09He swept the leg.
12:11He struck him out.
12:12It's perfect.
12:1311 strikeouts tying his season high.
12:20Olsen puts it in the air.
12:22Right center field.
12:23How big is that?
12:26A three run blast.
12:29Matt Olsen extending the lead when Kittredge was one pitch away from getting out of it.
12:36You cannot overstate how big that was for Matt Olsen.
12:40All of a sudden the momentum seemed to be shifting.
12:45Liner.
12:46Oh is it a double play?
12:47It is.
12:48Oh my goodness.
12:50Olsen reaching up to grab it.
12:52And then beating Alonzo to the bag.
12:55Look at the umpire punching him out.
12:57Let's see.
13:01Well that is really close.
13:03Hopefully close enough where you can't overturn it.
13:06The heel looks like it hits the bag.
13:08The corner of the bag and then the foot comes down.
13:10After a view the call in the field stands.
13:12The runners out.
13:12As we mentioned in the open.
13:13Martinez just adjusted so much for this team.
13:16Whatever they have asked him to do.
13:17He has done it.
13:18And he has never complained.
13:19And he has delivered.
13:23Nice two seamer to freeze CJ Abrams.
13:30Back to back strikeouts.
13:32One looking.
13:33Now house down swinging.
13:36A strikeout on the changeup.
13:40As he reaching out.
13:42And making the catch.
13:45He struck him out.
13:48The changeup.
13:49Brings down house.
13:53Ground ball.
13:54As he over.
13:56You do not see this often.
13:5850 pitches to complete five and no hits.
14:05He comes back to get him.
14:08Another one dotted.
14:10To freeze James Wood.
14:14Swinging butt down the third baseline.
14:17He makes the throw.
14:19He is through six.
14:22Greatest athletes on the field.
14:23The left handed pitchers.
14:25And what a play here by.
14:26Martin to get it done.
14:30And there is a called strike at the top of the zone.
14:34More frozen pizza.
14:37Perez is dishing it out tonight.
14:39But 40,000.
14:40Are going to appreciate what Perez has done so far.
14:43So that.
14:44Helped the Braves.
14:46Win all those games.
14:48Deep to right here.
14:49Did it get out of here.
14:51It did.
14:51It's another one for Acuna.
14:54This one he did all by himself.
14:58And that sharp grounder out into right center.
15:01Is going to give the Braves the lead in the top of the 10.
15:05Harris delivers.
15:06It's going to bat for Michael.
15:08Six pitches after falling behind in the count 0-2.
15:11He did not chase.
15:12And it's kind of fun the way this thing has worked out.
15:14Which is that you are getting this matchup in game three.
15:16This is a game one matchup in a postseason series.
15:19But the Braves are already taking the first two.
15:21And how fun this is going to be to watch him and Yamamoto get after it tonight.
15:26And Sale strikes out Edmond.
15:2997.
15:31And Sale strikes him out.
15:33That slider induces some pretty awkward swings.
15:36And you could put that on the list.
15:39Ugly one here from Hernandez.
15:40Because this slider is so good.
15:42It's off the plate for so long.
15:44Sale 1-2.
15:46And you can't argue with that one.
15:48Some frozen pizza served to Quique Hernandez to end the top of the second.
15:52How about reaching back for a little bit more here against your former teammate 98.
15:56And Chris Sale makes quick work of him on three pitches.
16:01But he strikes out here.
16:03Getting Shohei Otani swinging.
16:05This is what greatness looks like with Shohei Otani against Chris Sale.
16:09He got him to chase.
16:10Chris Sale trying to strike out the side.
16:13And he's done it.
16:1499 miles per hour.
16:16Rack him up in the truck.
16:18It started with the catcher Rortvin.
16:20Good morning.
16:21Mr. Otani.
16:22Good afternoon.
16:23Tommy Edmond.
16:24Good night, sir.
16:26He struck him out again.
16:28He hit 100 again.
16:30All three rounds have gone to Chris Sale tonight.
16:35Another strikeout.
16:37Just three pitches.
16:39Struck him out.
16:41Double digits.
16:4310 K's for Sale.
16:45He puts him in swing mode because of the first pitch strikes that we've talked about here tonight.
16:49The fastball to get ahead and then it is three straight sliders.
16:53And this one has Rortvin way out in front.
16:56Here comes the payoff pitch.
16:59Ground ball.
17:00Ozzie backing up.
17:03Chris Sale.
17:04Eight magnificent innings tonight at Truist Park.
17:14That's his son.
17:15That's his son's reaction upon seeing his dad try to go out there for the complete game.
17:21What a cool moment.
17:22Certainly.
17:23And we would love to see this for Chris Sale.
17:26Hernandez first pitch.
17:28Lazy fly.
17:29Shallow left.
17:31There's out number one.
17:33On pitch number 100.
17:36Ground ball to the left side.
17:39Riley to second for one.
17:42Oh!
17:42He's safe!
17:46He win!
17:47A complete game shutout for Chris Sale!
17:51A sweep for Atlanta!
17:53And a taste of October in late August!
17:56A 2-2 pitch.
17:59That's it!
18:00It's fair!
18:02Olsen walks it off!
18:04To keep the good times rolling in Atlanta!
18:07Seven in a row!
18:11A little trouble for that.
18:13Apparently not allowed to do it.
18:15Ronald Acuna Jr.
18:17Hits it deep to left.
18:19Lyle is out of room!
18:21And that is career home run number 200 for Ronald Acuna Jr.
18:26And he sent that one to the moon!
18:29Now what a great moment here for Ronald.
18:31And again more good news.
18:33Fastball elevated 95.
18:34We mentioned it in his last at bat as he got to 97 for a base hit.
18:40Line drive!
18:41Out into left field!
18:42Mazi is going to score!
18:45Ha-Sung Kim!
18:47Is slowly becoming Ha-Sung him!
18:50Absolutely unbelievable.
18:52The moments.
18:53Regular playing time has yielded solid results.
18:56And what a story this is becoming.
19:00Baldwin to the gap!
19:03Here we go!
19:04Kim is around third!
19:07Are you kidding me?
19:09The game of the year!
19:12I am!
19:13I am!
19:15I am!
19:16I am!
19:18I am!
19:19I am!
19:1914-9-99.
19:21Or maybe more!
19:22There is another one!
19:25That is three!
19:27Two run homers tonight!
19:29All to the Crawford boxes and left!
19:31And for Matt Olson!
19:32His 40th of the season!
19:35Second time in his career that he has hit that number.
19:39How about another lefty going into the Crawford boxes?
19:42These guys love it here in this ballpark,
19:44and he knew it as soon as he got it.
19:46Iglesias deals.
19:49Braves win, and they are in.
19:52Atlanta's 90th victory punches their ticket to October.
19:57You love to see if the expectations were there.
19:59You can even tell by the reaction, right?
20:01Still the idea of staying focused on winning this division,
20:04but thinking about last year the way that it went,
20:07right back on track this year.
20:09Eight of the last nine.
20:10What did they miss?
20:10They missed it in 2025,
20:12but this organization did an unbelievable job in the offseason.
20:16These players bringing in Walt now to lead things.
20:19This ball is driven.
20:22Deep left center.
20:23It's a grand slam for Ronald Acuna Jr.
20:30Braves country going nuts.
20:33Acuna with his swing of the night to make it 5-2 Atlanta.
20:38Absolutely incredible to see what he has done
20:41and the run that he is on right now.
20:44And right now you can't get a fastball past Ronald Acuna Jr.
20:48Jordan Alvarez, the likely MVP, is on deck.
20:52God would like to try to avoid facing it.
20:54He struck him out!
20:56Now the NL East crowd is headed back home to Atlanta.
21:02The Braves win the division for the 19th time in 32 years.
21:08Ronald ready to party right away with the goggles.
21:11What a journey it has been here.
21:13And obviously still some big games in front of the Atlanta Braves,
21:17but they do it and they do it steadily.
21:19You mentioned how often they were in first place for most of this season.
21:23And they're able to close the door.
21:25There were some struggles along the way,
21:26but here they are now standing on top in a ballpark
21:29in which they are familiar celebrating.
