00:00Hockey season is upon us and the Rangers rookies reported to camp on Friday to get things started.
00:06But let's do some housekeeping first, shall we?
00:09Aiden Thompson, Artem Goncher, and Andre Mondo were at their training center,
00:14but they are not cleared to play yet due to injuries.
00:16And William Trudeau, who was the return in the Brett Berard trade to Montreal this summer,
00:21was added to the roster.
00:23Plenty of new faces on the ice, but in my opinion, there's three you want to be sure you know.
00:28First up is defenseman Albert Smits, the Rangers' fifth overall pick in the NHL draft this summer.
00:35He's 18 years old out of the Finnish Liga and the DEL, the top professional hockey league in Germany.
00:41And let me tell you, this is one of the more serious prospects I've ever covered.
00:45He means business, strictly business.
00:48Saw him throw some big hits today with his NHL-ready stature that everybody loves to talk about.
00:53Next is winger Liam Greentree.
00:56This guy came to the Rangers from Los Angeles in the deal for Artemi Panarin last season.
01:01He's 20, a former first-round pick, and was the top prospect in the Kings pipeline.
01:06He is now one of the top players in the Rangers pipeline, too.
01:09The thing that stood out to me today was that quick release.
01:13And lastly, there's Cole Baudouin, the 20-year-old center who was part of the return for Vincent Trocek on
01:19July 1st.
01:20He's also a former first-round pick, and as a centerman, he was one of the more crucial pickups for
01:25the Rangers this offseason.
01:27He describes himself as a 200-foot player who was super reliable in the D-zone.
01:32The first-round pick, and he's also a former first-round pick.
01:32The first-round pick.
01:32The first-round pick.
01:33The first-round pick.
