01:59picked him i think the thing i am excited about honestly more than anything is the rookie receivers

02:12weapons it's the defense dude like i we we literally we have guessed the defender ever in
02:18the in the secondary we don't know who these guys are um they're all i mean they could get carved

03:17half four seconds to throw a football we're gonna get carved up gonna get carved up so i wouldn't be
03:22surprised if you saw blitzes just a whole lot of movement on defense just to kind of hide the fact
03:29that my guy can't really just line up and guard your guy well you know when you talk about the
03:34quarterback malik willis ultimately the ability to protect him no matter how much i like him if he
03:39doesn't have time to showcase his skills and you know even tonight's game i'm a new england patriots
03:44fan from boston massachusetts so i'm representing but you know that's the one question for me tonight
03:48with the new england patriots that offensive line is a big question mark for me from a new england
03:54standpoint so if seattle can get past that offensive line it's only so much mvp candidate
04:00from last year drake may can do well how about this one the thing that helps them they got a

04:06and a wide receiver and everybody in the secondary or half the secondary is hurt for seattle great point
04:14there and i will say just talking about the patriots i'm the one patriots fan that didn't want to sign

04:28room guy and and if aj brown's not going to hoist a trophy in new england which i think is

04:34it may end badly i love the acquisition of romeo dobbs but ultimately i liked the patriots wide
04:40receiver room more than most kyle williams going to get more opportunity this year so it'll remain
04:45to be seen but i trust in mike rabel but certainly a tough beginning to the schedule and much tougher
04:50schedule overall this year for the patriots than last season yeah we were talking about that as
04:55like this afc east because it's like well we don't we know that there's two doormats but those so like
05:00one of those two teams between buffalo new england is probably going to win the division again
05:04but does did it feel too fast too soon for the patriots like are you still confident that it's
05:09a trajectory up or do you feel like it takes you know are more people going to be hip to

05:13year because with buffalo it's like defense kind of stinks it's kind of like you got your best friend
05:18with with joe brady uh being the head coach now but they got josh allen he's a horse and everybody's
05:24you know thinks he's always going to win the division and roll with things so i guess how are
05:28you feeling in in this lead up of your chances in the afc east i like the way you worded

05:34i'd probably say a little bit too fast too soon like law of averages it's really tough to get back

05:40the super bowl especially for the team that loses the super bowl the prior season joe burrow lamar

05:50i know there are now seven playoff teams as opposed to six a few years ago but it's just a

05:56afc even if you think the nfc is better the afc this year i think you're going to have something

06:01say about that the one thing i'll say about the patriots are the roster is much better than it was
06:06last year at multiple positions mike rabel has talked about it not being a very deep team
06:11that certainly showcased in the preseason week one is so difficult for me to handicap in the nfl
06:17across the board but i do think the patriots are going to have a better roster this year i think
06:21drake may hard to improve much over last year but i think he will so i i do expect the
06:27patriots to
06:27still be in the mix but ultimately i think the competition is going to be far greater in the
06:32conference so do i think they're going to make it to the super bowl i don't how do you read
06:36into
06:37because this is one of the things i mentioned also that go look at the history of the team that
06:42loses in the super bowl right they they usually struggle the next year but new england goes from
06:50playing the easiest schedule in football to playing a more difficult one because of where they finished
06:56whereas if you look at you look at buffalo for the last seven or eight years they've been playing a
07:02division winner schedule and still doing well i don't know how new england is gonna now all of a
07:09sudden be able to be in that upper echelon of teams every week because that's your schedule and and so

07:18takes a while that i've been through that we went from winning 11 or 12 games and and we didn't
07:25win
07:25the division but we had that second and then the next year we started off you know pretty good and
07:31then
07:31that schedule hit us and we ended up you know eight and eight seven and nine or something like
07:36that so like that's what i'm worried about more than anything like yeah i get you your team is better
07:42but you're not playing the easiest schedule in football anymore absolutely and everyone's gunning
07:48for you as the conference champion from the prior year but you know despite some of the offseason
07:54stuff with mike rabel in this past offseason i just believe in mike rabel as a leader to such a
07:59great
07:59extent that if he has more groceries in the cupboard and use a bill parcells line from back
08:04in the day i just trust him very much to execute that and neroi your points about the schedule very
08:09well taken but what i will say about that is oftentimes we look at these schedules before week
08:13one and they appear daunting yet the schedules really can change in a lot of ways as we see what
08:20teams can do right for example i don't believe in the pittsburgh steelers and the philadelphia eagles
08:25long term for me right i think potentially both of those pennsylvania teams could get off to a good
08:30start but i see them fading a little bit so teams like that and it's just one man's opinion but
08:35so
08:36you might have the eagles on your schedule down the stretch but you know maybe jalen hurts is banged up
08:40and maybe the offense isn't as good without aj brown so i think there's so many variables even when
08:46you look at a team like the miami dolphins who always give the patriots fits especially down in
08:51south beach so even a team like the dolphins are they going to win three games are they going to
08:55really compete and win six or seven so i think the scheduling combined a lot of people believe in the
08:59jets roster i hear a lot of people drinking that green kool-aid i'm not one of them necessarily but
09:05i your point's very well taken about the schedule but i do believe in the fortitude of rabel and his
09:10ability to lead this team even if it's not 13 wins even if it's 10 11 perhaps but to your

09:46can improve even slightly i think that cincinnati team is live you know i don't miss you know a lot
09:52of people are big on the new orleans saints i'm not you know i i'm high on the saints this

09:57in terms of making that type of run like the patriots did i don't see it i think the dallas
10:01cowboys are going to be improved defensively and i think that they could make some noise
10:05i don't expect that division to be great you know a lot of people would answer your question and say
10:10the new york giants right i'm not seeing it as much as everybody else with the new york giants
10:14he doesn't keep himself healthy he's gonna he's gonna knock himself out halfway through the season

10:41lamar jackson is the one player that i do not want to face even back in the tom brady

10:51the most unstoppable player in the league so i do think potentially i think the steelers take a step
10:55back i wouldn't be surprised to see cincinnati or baltimore elevate but but for a team to come

12:06baltimore or buffalo in terms of a new head coach but my thoughts on baltimore have more to do with
