00:00We're underway in Bogotá, Independiente Santa Fe, up against Vasco de Gama in the
00:07Commonwealth Sudamericana quarter-finals. An early block and an early signal from Franco Fuglundes to try and raise the crowd
00:19further.
00:20I don't think they need any further encouragement. Well played by Caron Barros, forward for Spinelli to chase.
00:27Kept it in play here, Spinelli, the Argentine. Rolls it back to Rojas. Rojas with the cross for the back
00:33post. Volley back across, goal by Rodríguez.
00:36And behind for a goal kick.
00:41And Bruno Rodríguez venturing forward as he will look to do where possible.
00:46Let's roll deep, backwards. Delivered now from a different angle at the back post, headed on goal!
00:51And there's the opener. It's a towering header. Celebrations cut short by a flag on the near side.
01:02The dream starts. Perhaps not quite so much. We shall wait for clarification. The ball delivered in.
01:16Fractional. Perhaps a shoulder. Less than a shoulder. Wandering into an offside position.
01:25Ivan Scarpetta's brilliant header. May count for nothing. Shoulders width. The wrong side of the last man.
01:42On the left side.
01:59And the strange were in charge of VAR of course making absolutely certain. Take nothing away from it.
02:05Quality of the header, it's absolutely outstanding as the offside is confirmed, it stays nil-nil, 10 minutes in or
02:12just away from the Argentine, into the hands of Esprija.
02:21Yeah, quickly moved on, Agundes lays it back for Torres, intercepted however, tries for a free kick, play allowed to
02:32go on here by Dario Herrera, letting play run, Vuitton goes for goal, no effort saved by Esprija.
02:43Very lively start to this one, out of that front two, you can see him just taking up that position
02:47behind Rovallega, but moving out wide, he's putting a great pass in here for Palacios, Palacios in behind, through on
02:53goal and lifts his shot over the top of the crossbar.
02:56What a chance for Heri Belton, Palacios.
03:03Wonderfully worked as he continues that running behind, that static back line of the visitors, passing the buck as to
03:09who should be following that run, in the end it's an excellent bit of recovery by Lucas Freitas just to
03:15get across and make life difficult for Palacios, but he should have done better with the finish.
03:20Pails to even work, Leo Jardim, chance goes begging him back, first orderly grown from the home support as the
03:28rules given away somewhat cheaply.
03:29One of three gets, hammers one across the, so the penalty area, Spinelli was chasing it, names it, got a
03:35touch on Esprija, and fingertips of the goalkeeper, Daniel Herrera seems to agree.
03:58Out to Rodriguez, wide right, Rodriguez, past one, low cross in, and then he throws her under pressure, it's his
04:06finish over the top of the crossbar.
04:12Big chance for Nistrosa to impress tonight from the start after a disappointing start to his life in Brazilian football,
04:22having made the move at the start of the year from Atletico Néstor.
04:24Attack again, next time down the left, cutting inside, shot gets off, locked before it reaches the penalty area by
04:32Ramon Rique.
04:33Here's Danny Torres, back to Palacios. Santa Fe hoping to end the half with some pressure, Torres to Fagundes, Fagundes
04:44down the line, cuts back inside one challenge.
04:46Quickly on in feet again, one back by Vasco de Gama, who can now look to break.
04:55Roccas, Vasco de Gama coming forward as we move into stoppage time, and Roccas shoots.
05:0010 minutes of added time, and Roccas fires one off target.
05:2212 minutes of added time, Henry Torres.
05:2513 minutes of added time, and no real urgency to get forward, Daniel Herrera goes for half time.
05:2714 minutes of added time, with the first half half, and with that no real urgency to get forward, Daniel
05:30Herrera goes for half time.
05:35don't see a viable attack coming as such brings the first half to an end
05:41Independiente Santa Fe nil Vasco de Gama nil
05:44way back on the way Independiente Santa Fe nil
05:48Vasco de Gama nil
05:53last leg of this quarterfinal matchup
06:06the Blasios down the right again with the cross Rodiega with the header
06:11just slightly out of reach perhaps for Rodiega which is why he couldn't get the purchase
06:16glances it wide and applauds the efforts of Helibelto
06:20Balasios getting down that right side to great effect once again
06:24in between the two centre-backs Rodiega up for the header
06:29as we see on the replay
06:33straining to get there just couldn't get high enough to get over the ball and generate the
06:38power Spinelli turns well on halfway buffeted by two but manages to find Nuno Moreira
06:43play goes on Moreira goes for goal
06:46awkward little bounce in front of Asprea but a comfortable enough save for the keeper
06:50but
06:52Spinelli taking on the shot from a long way out
06:54will argue but he didn't have a great deal of support alongside him
06:59Spinelli in behind here Spinelli's bearing down on goal Spinelli saved by Asprea big moment
07:07very big moment in this first leg
07:15Spinelli just knocks it past the last man nods it in front of him
07:22needs to then find the finish
07:25and Asprea just comes out and does everything a goalkeeper should do makes himself as big as possible quickly out
07:31to the feet
07:32and he makes the block
07:38leads the ball down the right it's a nice little angle to change
07:42Oblian pulls back the cross
07:44Segundes
07:45it's a swing on it goes down into the box
07:47Oblian pulls it back on
07:48over the crossbar
07:53and is the home team pushing
07:57just committing that little bit more to the attack when they do come forward
08:05is there anything here
08:07when
08:08Ravindes goes down under a challenge
08:10and a much better angle than that to really determine
08:15maybe disappointed with the initial effort that he had
08:18it's the second ball that he was there alert to
08:21perhaps it in
08:22not sure how much contact there is there from Lucas Flaytas in truth
08:34driving forward for the home team
08:35looking for options
08:37looks off of Ravindes
08:38there's a slip
08:39for Ravindes shoots
08:40off the underside of the bar
08:41now Rodriguez with the follow-up header over the top
08:46so so close
08:54well the pass was delayed
08:55but it's a crucial slip from Saldivia
08:58that affords the space
09:00to Fagundes
09:01absolutely hammers the effort
09:03keeper beaten
09:06and the ball comes back off the crossbar
09:09bounces down on the way to safety
09:25it's a batter
09:31it's a batter again
09:33it's a batter onto the left
09:34goes for goal
09:36nice to catch out
09:37Leo Jardim expecting the cross
09:39whips it in at the near post
09:40to keep it down well
09:41to make the save
09:42that's the difference of
09:44bringing in Zapata for Dani Torres
09:46the kind of run that he just made there
09:50his wants to try and make something happen in the final third
09:56at the expense perhaps of that midfield control
09:59that Dani Torres gives
10:00the feet of in Estrosa
10:01and when we get
10:02spots a bit of space on that fast side
10:04it's not the best first touch
10:05there's a chance to shoot
10:07and it's blazed over the top of the crossbar
10:10from distance
10:10by Paolo Enrique
10:1210 minutes of normal time remaining
10:15Lo Verda's
10:17trying to make things happen
10:20drifting off this
10:22near touchline
10:23shot that comes in from distance
10:26is well off target
10:32in the end of Olivero it was taking on the effort
10:34as that final change is about to take place
10:37Brustos on and eager to make it in fashion
10:39in the minutes that he's been given by Pablo Repetto
10:42it will be Brustos to take the corner
10:44the outswinger
10:44and the goalwards
10:48and the goal is denied
10:50with a super stop by Leo Jardim
10:52somehow manages to tip it over the top of the crossbar
10:56barely had to make a save tonight
10:58Leo Jardim
10:59Brustos again with the delivery
11:01another header and goal
11:02another save
11:05two super stops by Leo Jardim
11:07keep this at 0-0
11:09in the 90th minute
11:12suddenly really has to
11:16earn his keep
11:17Lo Verda's stolen it back
11:18Lo Verda goes for goal
11:21wide of the post
11:28is there a final chance here
11:30now where Brustos
11:31goes for goal
11:32bouncing
11:32bouncing wide
11:35that might be it
11:48with an effort
11:49Robustos
11:50as the full-time whistle blows
11:52it ends
11:54here in Bogota
11:56Independiente Santa Fe 0
