01:24Thankful also to have participated in this solemn act to receive this distinguished
01:34condecoration of the Bolivar Republic of Venezuela. Today, from that moment,
01:40it's not only a sentimental debt with Venezuela, but I take to Vietnam a debt, a moral debt,
01:51to this land that for over three years and four months, I truly feel like it's part of my family,
02:05esteemed acting president. Truly, I feel very satisfied
02:15that for the work along these years, the relationship between Venezuela and Vietnam continue to deepen.
02:23And I'm truly convinced that under your leadership, these beautiful relations of friendship,
02:33of integration between Venezuela and Vietnam will reap lots of benefit for both our people, as in several occasions,
02:46as Francisco de Miranda expressed. To achieve welfare for the homeland, for the happiness of the people,
03:02is our debt. I'm convinced that we must work to continue strengthening that sacred relation of friendship
03:11between Vietnam and Venezuela. And trust, you can trust in me, dear acting president and foreign minister.
03:23Wherever I am, I carry this commitment, taking this land, those memories of these moments here in Venezuela,
03:35to continue working to strengthen the relationships between Vietnam and Venezuela. I know, in name of this,
03:53distinguished condecoration only for me, but for that beautiful relationship between both peoples and both governments.

04:48after three years, receiving at the hands of the acting president,
04:51of Desi Rodriguez, the condecoration order of Francisco Miranda. Let's now listen to the acting president,
04:56Desi Rodriguez. Dear ambassador, as you have said, we know that you carry Venezuela in your heart,
05:04and you continue to be a very close friend of Venezuela. Greetings to the ambassador of Indonesia,
05:13the Charged Affairs of Malaysia. I greet all the demonic staff that today is here, and the team,
05:21the ministerial team of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry. Today we are saying goodbye to an ambassador
05:28that knew how to bring closer the links of friendship, cooperation among our people.
05:36Not only the relationship between governments, but also the relationship between our parliaments and our parties.
05:45And that's something that has made it possible to expand our relations. Venezuela and Vietnam, we have historic relationships.
05:53We have a number of agreements that over 50 are currently in effect. Ambassador, we are also in negotiations right
06:04now,
06:05so that the mixed commission can go over 30 more agreements to continue to deepen the spaces of cooperation in
06:12terms of energy,
06:14agriculture, very important, the agriculture sector, where we have made important progress in the area of rice cultivation,
06:23different species of rice that we have brought here to Venezuela, also in telecommunications, culture,
06:32spaces where our countries, a country from South America, a country from Asia, strengthened relations for the benefit of both
06:41peoples.
06:42I truly thank the ambassador because personally he accompanied me during my visit as the vice president to Vietnam,
06:54and it was a visit that truly allowed us to deepen in the areas that we had to go deeper
07:00and to correct what needed to be corrected in our relations to be able to move forward.
07:05And all those results, we are going to see them in the next mixed commission that we are going to
07:10make very shortly.
07:14This year we also greet the visit of the foreign minister of Vietnam.
07:18It's important for the peoples to find a space of cooperation. It's important, as I have said, for the Venezuelan
07:26foreign ministry.
07:27It's the mechanism for the international relationship in accordance with international law, the UN Charter,
07:33the principles and purposes of that UN Charter, the international principles that govern our relationships.
07:39But we have gone beyond international protocols and we have deepened friendship relations among our nations,
07:49with deep admiration of the history of the people of Vietnam that has also marked our country.
07:56And to continue on the path to guarantee dignity, sovereignty, independence, and Vietnam there is an example to follow.
08:08Ambassador, you do not leave Venezuela, you remain here, your legacy remains here in the heart of the Venezuelan people.
08:16We wish you lots of successes and that condecoration that you carry, Francisco de Miranda, carries the symbol of the
08:23heroes of our independence.
