00:24crashed while attempting to land at Miami International Airport shortly before 2 p.m. local time.

00:50and another two that were transported to a local hospital.
00:54The aircraft had departed from San Juan, Puerto Rico,
00:58and overshot the airport's diagonal runway,
01:01eventually coming to rest near a parking area serving an Amazon warehouse and other businesses.

01:46At this stage, officials say it is too early to identify a cause.
01:52The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation, with a news conference expected on Monday.
01:59Flight tracking data indicates the aircraft was traveling at around 112 knots, or roughly 129 miles per hour, as it

02:38And the timing is significant.
02:41The crash happened over the U.S. Labor Day weekend, one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
02:47The Transportation Security Administration had predicted around 17 million travelers would pass through U.S. airports during the week leading
02:56up to the holiday,
02:57with about 2.3 million expected to fly on Sunday alone.
