00:02While it's only the first weekend of spring, looking around here at Bondi today, you wouldn't know it.
00:06It feels like we could be in the middle of summer. The beach is already packed, the car park here
00:11has been full for a few hours now.
00:13People are just out and about enjoying the sunshine, they're surfing, swimming, running, all of the above.
00:18We've spoken to a few people here this morning who are all very enthused about this hot weather we're getting.
00:23Here's what they had to say.
00:24We're just going for a nice walk. My brother's teaching surf lessons down there so we're having a look at
00:29him in the waves as well. It's all good.
00:31I love it here. It's like 10 degrees colder at home so I'm soaking it up.
00:37It's always like an early start to the summer and then maybe it gets cold again so we've got the
00:42good days now.
00:43I don't love the cold and we had some pretty cold days in August so it's been amazing to come.
00:49We were just away so we just got back and it's lovely.
00:51Coming from Germany I think it's absolutely beautiful. I mean spring season, my cousin they live here and they told
00:56me they're a little bit afraid of having a too hot summer here.
00:59But I think it's like perfect start in spring and I love it.

01:06People are enjoying the weather here definitely.
01:08It's expected to hit 33 degrees today in Sydney with most suburbs expected to reach that temperature into this afternoon.
01:15That's about 13 degrees above the September average and it could actually challenge a record for the hottest temperature in
01:21the first week of spring.
01:22That one was set in 2013 but today's temperatures could actually top that.

01:28I, I think I'd have to do it all though.
