A man wakes up after a strange dream in which someone seemed to be editing his body like a video game character.
When he wakes up, he discovers that he is naked, on an unknown island, surrounded by strange creatures.
He tries to figure out where he is, remembers that his name is Non Ash, and discovers that the island is called Non Pokémon Island.
Everything is normal. Everything makes sense.
Nothing that looks like a certain game from a certain Japanese company.
However, if there are any similarities...
**IT'S NOT A MERE COINCIDENCE.**
With no food, no weapons, and no idea what is going on, Non Ash begins exploring the island.
He meets a man who explains that the creatures are called Pals, and that some of them have powers.
Then he sees a giant green Pal that looks like a grass dog.
— ...I'm not going to be able to defeat that one anytime soon.
Maybe in a few months.
So he decides to do what any sensible person would do in a situation like this:
**start picking up everything he sees and crafting things.**
Wood, stone, fruit, tools...
And, after some time, he manages to capture his first Pal.
— ...Okay. Now you're my friend.
Pause.
— ...Or my slave.
**OOPS! New friend.**
After spending a good amount of time crafting items, feeding the Pals, and watching them sleep and work, Non Ash decides to go for a walk.
But he soon finds members of the **Rayne Syndicate** keeping a poor purple Pal trapped in a cage.
Non Ash stops.
Looks at the bandits.
Looks at the Pal.
— ...Okay. I'm not letting this slide.
And, after a brief fight, he defeats the Syndicate members and frees the Pal.
— ...Now you're my friend.
Pause.
— ...Or my slave.
**OOPS! New friend.**
He brings the Pal back to his base, where it gets a comfortable bed, food, and new friends.
Of course...
**Every now and then, it gets called in to work at the base.**
And so Non Ash's journey begins.
A man who woke up on an unknown island, discovered that his body had been edited by someone from beyond, encountered monsters with powers, and now has to survive.
Without knowing why he's there.
Without knowing how he's going to get out.
And without knowing if he'll ever be able to defeat that giant grass dog.
**Looks like he's going to have a long journey ahead of him.**
