00:09Well hidden away in the rolling farmland about 80 minutes drive northwest of Canberra is Mount
00:16Bobra. Now this hill is part of a privately owned working farm meaning it is normally
00:23strictly off limits but once or twice a year the owners generously throw open the gates
00:30for a fundraiser for the Bina Long public school P&C. If you ever get the chance to tackle this
00:37walk
00:37jump at it it's a truly magical place to explore. Sure it's an uphill slog with about a 250 meter
00:46or so
00:46vertical climb but it's a relatively gentle steady gradient. The track changes from dirt
00:54to bitumen as it winds its way up to the summit telecommunications complex.
01:00On the way up make sure to stop for a breather or two
01:08and keep your eyes peeled. While real four-legged friends are not allowed on the property
01:15this unexpected stony faced hound stopped me dead in my tracks. Can you spot it? At the top once you
01:27push past the towers keep heading to the trig point. From here the 360 degree outlook over the surrounding
01:36country is simply majestic. Just look at that yellow canola in full bloom.
02:05While most of us are content to conquer this peak just once athletes like Lula use this steep incline as
02:13a training ground. There's just nothing like it with the canola coming out and the beautiful windmills and
02:19the view across to Mount Bowning and yeah it's special. So Mount Bowning is sort of off here to
02:24your right. Are you going to climb that as well? No we've got different torches planned for tonight.
