00:00Hi Vogue, I'm Nika Abdallah and today I'm going to take you through my current skincare routine
00:06as well as my everyday makeup and then we'll do a little hair refresh. My first step is actually
00:12to take off my big chunky ring. Hair up, pimple patches coming off. I don't ever have long nails
00:19in my everyday life but Ali has long nails. It makes my life so tedious. Now I'll wash my face.
00:29I've been using this Tatcha and it's like kind of exfoliating a little bit which I love but not in
00:33like a bad way.
00:38I've also been trying to get really good at like using a brand new towel every time I wash my
00:42face
00:42because like the lack of sleep and the travel and the work and like my skin is holding on by
00:46a thread.
00:47Now I do my under eye patches. I've been using these Peter Thomas Roth and it comes with this
00:51little spoon. How cute. And then I'll use this thing. It is like a microcurrent treatment little
01:02thing. After a long flight, after a night out, my face gets huge. You can use this little gel.
01:08And it's super cool because it like bluetooth connects to your phone
01:12and then there are these videos. Different options of like what you want to have it.
01:18We're gonna start this treatment out. And then it beeps and then she talks and she tells you what to
01:22do.
01:23It's amazing. I'll do this like when people are visiting and they're so confused about what's going on.
01:29I do feel like the more I sleep, the more I exercise, the better
01:34I eat and the more water I drink. Obviously, would you believe it makes your skin clearer?
01:48I've been using this All Eyes of Skin Forming Under Eye Cream.
01:55And so now I've been using this, obviously, as Vader cream. We've been doing a lot of work where there's
02:00a lot of fog. Just having all that like smoke hitting my skin all the time is making it a
02:04bit dry.
02:05So this has been really great. I don't get super insecure about my breakouts anymore.
02:11Also, the makeup team on set is so great. My makeup artist, Rex, he's like, he's very skincare
02:16forward. And so he starts out my mornings with an under eye mask and he'll like give me a pimple
02:22patch
02:22or he's been putting like Mario Badescu on like any breakouts that I have and then just doing makeup
02:26over it, which I didn't know was an option. Apparently it is. Now I use this Lawless like
02:33lip plumping. It's an overnight mask, but I use it literally all the time. My favorite thing is
02:38I keep it in my purse and this is what I use as like my out on the town lip
02:43balm. And when my guy
02:45friends will like ask if anyone has chopstick, I give them this. And then they're like, what is going
02:52on? Cause it's super tingly. It's really great. Now that that's done, we're going to do my
02:59everyday makeup. I just got into primer. Does it work? Yes. Who would have thought? I will address
03:07the fact that I did not put sunscreen on my face. If I'm going to go out and if I'm
03:12going to like,
03:12I'm going to go to the beach, I'm going to put sunscreen on my face.
03:17My freckles come out a lot when I'm in the sun and I don't have sunscreen on. And so if
03:22I'm just
03:22running around town, I'm going to just, I'm going to just leave it alone. I've been using this Chanel
03:28concealer. It's so good. I typically use my fingers to do a lot of my makeup. Like I feel like
03:34the warmth
03:34of my hand helps the makeup kind of like blend into my skin better. I've been doing like so little
03:42under eye concealer. Cause I'm kind of liking the dark under eye. I'm tired and I'm not trying to
03:47hide it too much. I've been on sets since I was like six years old. So I've just watched so
03:56many
03:56people do my makeup. And I feel like that's kind of what I learned. I also, of course, like went
04:02through
04:02my phase in high school and middle school of like watching makeup videos and makeup tutorials. I
04:08remember the first time I did my eyebrows, I used like the, you know, like the pot of the gel.
04:15Um, cause we didn't really have the, the, the knowledge yet. Anyway, uh, but I did my eyebrows
04:22and then I went to go watch my friend, um, cheer at like her high school football game. And she
04:28saw me
04:29standing in this, like in the stands and she's looking at me and she runs over and she goes,
04:34did you do your eyebrows today? And I was like, so that was the last time I tried that.
04:41I don't remember what Vardy was like. It was like the thing that you did in Dallas,
04:47if you were a child actor, like that was just the pipeline. Like everyone who's from Texas did it.
04:52That was the peak of my career. Given the brow situation, my trauma, um, I use a clear gel
05:00sparingly on my brows. And I prefer this eyebrow to this eyebrow. Cause this one goes straight up
05:04and this one like goes to the side. So I fake it over here and then I kind of brush
05:09them up.
05:11I do like the tiniest bit of this Hong Van Gogh. Like it's this brown coal liner thing. It's so
05:19soft and my, okay. And I do this because of my aunt. She has the most beautiful eyes and her
05:25eyelashes
05:26grow like way into that, her inner corner. And so she looks like she always has this, like,
05:31she just has a very dark inner corner and I love it. And I'm jealous of it. And so
05:34I put a little bit of this brown in my inner corner.
05:41And then sometimes I'll do that out here too. If I'm feeling crazy. Um, and I'm feeling crazy today.
05:48I haven't processed anything that's happened, um, in the last three months since the show came off.
05:54So many things are happening all the time. Like none of us ever independently take a second to
05:59like acknowledge how crazy it is. So then we'll go to set or we'll like go hang out outside of
06:03work
06:04and be like, Oh yeah. And then I'm doing this shoot this weekend, or then I'm going here and then
06:08to have everyone around you remind you, like, that's crazy is very nice to have because otherwise
06:15we'd all just be like running around like feet, not touching the ground, not knowing what's going on.
06:22Ilya, tubing, mascara, brown. You've noticed the theme of brown on my eyes. I like it. It's softer.
06:34The really cool thing that the show does is like all of the characters are fun and we see them
06:42just
06:42living normal, happy life. But then we acknowledge that they have these, these histories, these traumas
06:47for Ali. You know, last year we saw her mostly as like the Ali that everyone on the street sees
06:54her as,
06:55um, which is really fun and cool. And she's so cute and just bubbly and great. This year we're,
07:01we're digging a little deeper into, um, her past and what she's been through and what makes her the
07:09way that she is. Maybe why she's so bubbly and outgoing and you see where that's that, that,
07:14what that energy is maybe trying to hide or trying to compensate for. Now I do something else
07:20that nobody's going to like. I use one brush, two different sides for my bronzer and my blush.
07:31Okay. I've been using this for five, cute, fun. It's warm, but not too warm. And I'm really just
07:36pressing it in right here. I actually think I realized yesterday that I was going to be on
07:42the cover of Vogue. Um, I knew about it. Um, but it was one of those things as well where
07:46I was like
07:47on a phone call, got the news and was like, oh, cool, cool, cool, cool. Okay. And then I fly
07:52in
07:52when, and I do this one. Okay, great. And then I just like put that in my mental calendar. And
07:56then
07:56I was in the car with India, uh, who plays Grace and she was like, oh, what are you going
08:01to LA for?
08:02And I was like, I got to do the cover of Vogue India. And she was like, what? And I
08:07was like,
08:08oh, what? I was like, that's actually crazy. But this kind of thing happens all the time.
08:16This duo thing. Okay. Because my makeup bag is like truly this big. So something that is a two
08:24in one situation, it's a blush, super cute. And then a highlighter.
08:34The other night after a night out, just in a silly, goofy mood, Ella and I were like,
08:42what should we watch? And we did watch off campus.
08:47So now I do this little pinky. I do it to my nose and a little right here and a
08:52little right here.
08:53And then I'll take my pinky. And again, with the nails, like I just, I have a hard time.
08:57I do a bit over there.
09:00Sneak peek of Allie's nails. I like to leave my skin very dewy. These days, it's very warm and I
09:05am
09:05getting photographed on the street a little bit more. And there's a happy medium. I still love a dewy look,
09:13but I will powder my face now. So I use this Chanel, again, powder. And it also helps
09:18cover a little extra and like keep the concealer on. Cause I also touch my face more. Makeup Forever
09:26Brown Lip Liner. I do like a bit of an overline and I do it super, super messy. And then
09:32I smudge it up.
09:35I've been using this Givenchy like lip oil. It's a little plumping and it looks
09:41very red, but it's not. And I'll do just a little bit in the middle. Sometimes I also feel like
09:48with
09:48concealing like spots, after I've powdered it, the concealer does more. I don't know.
09:58Cut that one more time and then I'll probably powder it one more time.
10:00Cut that one more time. So that's my makeup. And then my big thing these days has been a nice
10:08little
10:08curl refresh. This is the soundtrack of my morning. This bottle squeaking at me. No,
10:16what I actually have been listening to a lot is like Missy Elliott, Dog and Heat. Just a good vibe.
10:23My last like seven saved songs are Body Bear and Sufjan Stevens. So look, I was, we were doing
10:30something emotional the other day on set. And so I started listening to my sad music and I was like,
10:35now that my hair is damp, I do rediffuse it. I also didn't know that my hair had any texture
10:43to
10:44it until like four years ago. I always just thought my hair was super frizzy. The messier, the better,
10:51in my opinion.
10:55I'm going to use this texturizing spray for me. The room is going to get cloudy.
11:03I have a callic in the front of my head. So I always try to like, with a texturizing spray,
11:08I'm trying to use this as hairspray, but it actually works. Okay. So now that my hair is just
11:12slightly larger than it was before. I'm satisfied. And next I'm going to
11:19moisturize my body. Eminence solid body oil. It's like a coconut oil texture,
11:25just a little bit. Cause it gets, it gets a notch and you just warm it up and now you
11:30have body oil.
11:31And I love it because again, I'm traveling so much and I can't have a body oil explode in my
11:40suitcase
11:40one more time or I'm going to lose my mind. I use this combo of Lilabo's Matcha.
11:49Love. And then my grandma brought me these little perfumes from Bulgaria, which one more time,
11:58I also have tattoos on my body and it's like this actual thing. And I put it on when I
12:03went to the
12:04chemistry reads for off campus. So then I was like last year on set, anytime I had like a,
12:10like if we were doing like a stressful, like lunch meeting with executives, I would put the oil on,
12:15on top of the matcha. And then it's not really good. It's somewhere between an oil and a fragrance,
12:21but I just rubbed this little stick on me. I know that's not what you're supposed to. Okay. You're
12:25probably just for sure that I'm like a normal person, but I don't do that. And I put some right
12:29here. I think it's just rose oil. Rose oil is like one of Bulgaria's main exports. I'm actually
12:36going to put all my rings back on is one last thing I'm going to do, because how can I
12:40possibly
12:40leave the house without my hands weighing a million pounds? Okay. My hair is looking big. My makeup is
12:45done. My skin smells the way that I like it to smell. My rings are back on and now it's
12:51time to go.
12:52Bye look.
