00:00Leeds United are closing in on an initial loan move for Nice defender Melvin Bard, with the deal containing an
00:08option to buy the Frenchman at the end of the season.
00:12The move will see the Yorkshire club pay their French counterpart an initial €1m and they can then buy the
00:20left-back at the end of the campaign for a further €5m if they choose to do so.
00:27Bard, who is 25 years old, is travelling to Ellen Road on deadline day and completing a medical.
00:35The addition will add depth to the full-back positions with Gabrielle Goodmanson, the only current left-sided option available
00:42to manager Daniel Farca.
00:45There is also uncertainty around Leeds' attack with Willy Nonto in Florence completing a move to Fiorentina, joining the Serie
00:57A side.
00:58The initial loan move for the Italian to return to Serie A was contingent on Leeds finding a replacement, but
01:06they have since seen a move for Chelsea's Michalo Mudrick, successfully hijacked by Tottenham.
01:12So it remains to be seen whether or not Willy Nonto will complete that move.
01:17Bard would be Leeds' sixth senior signing as well as forward Harry Wilson, who the secured on a free transfer
01:25after his contract expired with Fulham at the end of the last campaign.
