Former Commanders RB Austin Ekeler joins Grant & Danny to break down what went right in the 2024 run to the NFC Championship games. Also, what it takes for Jayden Daniels to bounce back.
Transcript
00:00A couple of football seasons in the DMV.
00:02Austin Eckler is out here and now resides in the Vegas area
00:06and hanging out as Circa is kicking off their contest weekend.
00:09Good to see you, man. How are you?
00:11You know, I want to say this. Thanks for having me on.
00:13But you guys were one of my favorite shows to be on, you know, this season.
00:15So I appreciate you guys.
00:16I've done a few of those like that where it's like a little 20 minutes.
00:18And I think you guys had good energy.
00:20I will say this, though. It's kind of funny.
00:21I got warned about you guys.
00:23Did you?
00:24Warned?
00:24Yes, I got warned.
00:25I want to hear more about this.
00:26Wait a minute.
00:26Do you want to get right into it or do you want to?
00:27No, right now.
00:28Yeah, I got warned.
00:30So, you know, the PR for these leagues or these teams is like very tight.
00:33Like they don't want any bad press.
00:35Correct.
00:35And so apparently you guys had a reputation of asking some questions around injuries
00:39and stuff like that.
00:40Oh, good to know.
00:41Or maybe poking around some places that are maybe a little controversial
00:43for our guys to be talking about.
00:45So specifically injuries or other things too?
00:48Injuries was one.
00:51There was probably – I think there was like a few.
00:53Like we had like a list.
00:54Was it written down on a piece of paper?
00:56No, it was not written down.
00:56It was more of a passing.
00:58It seemed like, hey, I heard you're on the Grant and Danny show.
01:00Be careful with these guys.
01:01Be careful.
01:03Well, here's the thing.
01:04Here's the thing.
01:04A lot of this information is very sensitive.
01:06It has very real repercussions for these leagues.
01:09Right?
01:09Because if there's like something that maybe wasn't supposed to get out that did,
01:13massive fines.
01:14Big headlines.
01:15Yeah, yeah, yeah.
01:15So obviously they're extremely, extremely tight.
01:18But never have any problems with you guys.
01:20I think mainly because I'm media trained and know not –
01:23Exactly.
01:23I've touched the stove before.
01:24Actually, out in L.A. I got in trouble.
01:26I talked – it was Justin Herbert.
01:27People were asking like how he was.
01:29And I said like I smiled at him and smiled and waved,
01:31and he smiled back at me in the training room.
01:33And that blew up.
01:34I'm sure.
01:34Just saying he's the simplest – anyway, so –
01:36Yeah, he waved.
01:37Which hand?
01:37He waved.
01:37It was right around there.
01:38It was hurt.
01:38Ha!
01:39Yeah.
01:39People take it as something.
01:40Wow.
01:40But, yeah, so I think we made it through cleans.
01:43I appreciate you guys.
01:44Yeah, it was good.
01:45So I always say – it's funny.
01:47I was on a beat for four football seasons before I did the everyday show.
01:51And it's – roles are different.
01:53You wear different hats at different times.
01:54PR staff over there, which is the same now as when you were there,
01:56Sean and Charlie and Samantha, they're excellent.
01:59Love the crew.
02:00They're really, really good.
02:01But I would say this.
02:02If I wasn't considered someone that like asks good enough questions
02:07that a PR staff has to do a little brief beforehand,
02:11I don't think I'd be doing my job well.
02:13Hey, that's well said.
02:14Well said.
02:14You know, I don't work for the team.
02:15Well said.
02:15And if the team wants to pay for me, we can have that conversation.
02:18Well, look, they didn't say can't go on it.
02:19Yeah, exactly.
02:20So that means I think you're in a good spot.
02:22Exactly.
02:22That's interesting.
02:23Right on the edge.
02:23I like being on the radar of like they're not that excited to put someone on with us.
02:27You're on a short list.
02:28Because we're going to actually, you know, do our job a little bit.
02:31You're right.
02:31When I first saw that, it's like these guys are going to try to trick you.
02:34Yeah.
02:34Like they'll hypnotize you into giving away a state secret.
02:37Like what's the first 15 script?
02:39Like nobody's doing that, right?
02:40They might ask you if you're going to play or not on Sunday.
02:42But, no, we had a blast.
02:43It was a great time.
02:44Always great to have you, man.
02:45You were a lot of fun to chat with.
02:47Are you considering playing still?
02:50Yeah, absolutely.
02:52So give me an idea of like what's going on there.
02:53Yeah, I'm looking for the right situation for me at this point.
02:55Have teams been calling?
02:57Yeah, we have some teams that are interested.
02:58But for me, it comes down to what's the situation with your running back room
03:02and are you going to use me in the way that I can be utilized, third downs,
03:05you know, two-minute drives, that type of protecting your quarterback,
03:07passing situations.
03:08That's where I want to be utilized.
03:10Not all opportunities are out there that are open for that, which is fine.
03:14And right now we're going through I'm coming off an Achilles.
03:17People are worried about me.
03:18So at this point, I'm patient.
03:20I can decide, hey, if we get a call, let's hear him out.
03:23If it sounds like a good fit, let's go do the workout.
03:25Let's see if we can make it work.
03:26If not, we'll keep sitting around.
03:29I'll keep running fantasy leagues.
03:30That moment with you mentioned the Achilles was just like watching it in real time.
03:36I can't imagine for you having had it happen to you.
03:38But for the fans where you look behind you like, what got me?
03:42Oh, no.
03:43Like that feeling.
03:44Do you mind talking about it?
03:45Yeah, it's tough.
03:45Just what you thought and then what happened?
03:46To anyone that's had an Achilles tear, basically it feels like you got kicked.
03:49And you'll hear everyone kind of say that that's had an Achilles.
03:52It feels like you got kicked in the heel.
03:53It didn't hurt right away.
03:55And so all of a sudden I turn around and then I go to step and then it's kind of
03:58like my foot.
03:59It's like there's something wrong.
04:00So, you know, you fall down.
04:01And then I try to like you try to move your foot and then you realize like you don't have
04:05it.
04:05You can't move it at all because it's not attached anymore.
04:07Right.
04:07But you can't pull it back.
04:08You can't pull it back.
04:09Yeah.
04:09And so obviously immediately knew I tore it.
04:12And then the pain hits in when you're trying to move it and move messing with the nerves and stuff.
04:17But I mean, it's immediately.
04:18It's so unfortunate, too, because there's nothing that I felt that was different going into it.
04:23And it's just it was a play.
04:25I'm out in the flat about to go chase the ball because it got thrown the other way.
04:28I step back and snap.
04:29Snap my Achilles.
04:30Like there's nothing that I could have done.
04:31You've made that catch, that play a thousand times.
04:33I wasn't even going to play.
04:34Yeah.
04:34You're just away from the play.
04:35The play, the ball went the other way.
04:37Oh, right, right.
04:37I ran a flat route and I was about to go jog over to the ball or something like that.
04:40And I step back and snap out of nowhere.
04:43So actually, I learned this, though.
04:45This is for all you out there that are active, maybe playing pickleball, stuff like this.
04:48My surgeon, he's like, you would dramatically reduce the chances of you snapping your Achilles if you have a small
04:56heel lift in there.
04:57So if you're out there active out there, because actually I went to a place and we have a ton
05:00of pickleball Achilles.
05:01So wear a heel lift.
05:02There you go.
05:03That's your little medical.
05:03Really?
05:04My medical suggestion.
05:05You wearing that when you play pickleball?
05:06Hey, Siri, order heel lifts.
05:08So many.
05:09There's a heel lift, right, for sure.
05:10Anyway.
05:11Austin Eckler on Grant and Danny here on the fan.
05:13It was that kind of year.
05:14I mean, coming off the NFC title game, we were all just so excited.
05:18And it's hard to replicate that magical carpet ride, but it still felt like the floor was really high.
05:24Right?
05:24It was going to be super competitive.
05:26And then it's just one of those years where it's almost like you pay for the previous season where it's
05:30just like nothing went right.
05:32Did you guys going into last year in Ashburn, did you feel like you were going to be a playoff
05:36team?
05:37100%.
05:37Yeah.
05:38100%.
05:40And as a competitor, you have to.
05:42If you're not thinking like that, you don't make it to the NFC.
05:44So, like, right now, guys on the Cardinals, the Jets, they legitimately think they can make the playoffs.
05:48Yes.
05:49Yeah.
05:50Internally, yes.
05:51To everyone else, it might seem delirious, but who's going to believe in us if we don't?
05:55You know?
05:55So that's the mentality.
05:56And it might not be like we all believe we're going to make it all the way, but let's go
06:00out there and give it everything we have and see what happens.
06:02We're not going to count ourselves out.
06:04We're not going to believe, hey, we're going to go win the Super Bowl, but we're not saying we can't
06:08be good.
06:08And then we'll kind of take it as that.
06:10Same thing with the commanders.
06:11No one thought when we had new coaching staff, all this stuff, hey, they were going to go out and
06:15make this huge run.
06:16They were like, hey, maybe they'll be competitive this year.
06:18We're going to set up and see how the Jaden Daniels guy does over in his rookie year.
06:21And everyone in our organization is block out the media.
06:24Media is going to be media.
06:25You guys got to do your job.
06:26We got to speculate on you only have what has happened in the past.
06:29Sure.
06:29And then speculation.
06:30For us, we have a moment to prove something that hasn't been done before, and we have to believe in
06:35ourselves and go give it the best.
06:36So every team out there should.
06:37If they're not, then probably going to get new coaches should be believing that we can go make a run.
06:42This actually came down yesterday.
06:43I actually want to ask your opinion about it.
06:44You're always so thoughtful and cerebral about things.
06:46You see the NFL's new sort of emphasis on the different kinds of tackles and fining guys and potential suspension.
06:53This is someone that got tackled a lot as a running back, a lot of contact in your profession.
06:57What do you make of that?
06:58I just think it's too hard to legislate some of the stuff.
07:01You wore it.
07:02Did you see the rule change?
07:03There was a rule change that came out with the fine system.
07:04That actually was cool.
07:05It's basically like a three-strike system.
07:07Right.
07:07I thought that was really good.
07:08You get three of the five violations, and it's a one-game suspension.
07:12Correct.
07:12And the fine on top of that.
07:14So I thought that was really good to kind of help guys that maybe have – like I dropped my
07:17head one time.
07:18It's the only fine I've ever gotten.
07:19I dropped my head on a check down.
07:21It didn't really drop my head.
07:22I just – I run low, and I turned, and I had a guy right behind me.
07:26So I ducked to just clinch, and I got a fine for like 20 grand for basically protecting myself in
07:32like a split second decision.
07:33The only fine I've ever gotten.
07:34So that's one strike.
07:36If you do that three times –
07:37So in the old system, 20 grand, poof, gone.
07:39Now in this system, if I don't have any other strikes, which I didn't for that year, I would have
07:42got my 20 grand back.
07:43Gotcha.
07:43You know, so anyway.
07:44It seems like the one-game suspension is way more important than the fine.
07:47Well, that's if you're a repeat offender.
07:49Then you get suspended.
07:50Yeah.
07:50You know, don't be a knucklehead.
07:51Now, come on.
07:52But going back to, you know, the controlling of it, it's definitely hard.
07:55It's harder on defenders too because they're – they have to get you on the ground.
08:00And sometimes it's by any means.
08:02Sometimes that's a shoulder, you know, weird position.
08:04There are some people that are out there that just don't have good technique.
08:06It's a minority of people.
08:08They're not giving – it seems like a lot of fines, but it's a lot of people across the league,
08:11a lot of defenders out there.
08:12But it's really not that many fines that are going out of here.
08:14So there are definitely guys that have to learn how to play better.
08:17Some play styles.
08:18I remember there's a guy named Denzel Perryman.
08:21He was with the Chargers.
08:22He's a linebacker.
08:23He's been around for a while.
08:24This man always was using his head.
08:26And it was like, oh, I don't ever want to go try to block this man because he's going to
08:29–
08:29I know he's going to headbutt me.
08:30And so guys like that, okay, if we can't encourage you to do it by coaching you
08:35or not telling you not to, we've got to take your money or suspend you.
08:37So I think, you know, it's tough, but it's to protect the game.
08:41Austin Eckler, Grant and Danny, we're out at Circa in Las Vegas on the fan.
08:45You were not in the building probably a ton at this time,
08:49but I'm sure you were doing some rehab with the club.
08:52Cliff Kingsbury and the offense kind of sputtered down the stretch.
08:55Were you surprised that they moved on from Kingsbury and promoted Blau internally?
09:00No.
09:01I think Kingsbury could have left last year or the year before
09:03and got maybe a head coaching job or been an offensive coordinator somewhere else.
09:07I don't think he would have gotten a coordinator.
09:08I think he would have gotten a head coach.
09:10I think he would have been fielding those calls if he wasn't,
09:13but maybe wanted to try to make another run because it's really hard to put runs together
09:16and be in a team at the right time like we were last year or the two years ago.
09:21So that doesn't surprise me at all that, hey, we tried it again.
09:24Hey, opportunity, I'm going to go do one.
09:26But he didn't leave as much as they moved on from him.
09:29That's what I'm – like, is that surprising?
09:31And then you knew Blau from the building.
09:32Yeah.
09:32He was an assistant QB's coach kind of down the way.
09:35So far it looks like a sharp hire because he seems like a really smart guy.
09:38Yeah.
09:39But I'm just curious your perspective in the building.
09:40My perspective, just in a building of any change, it's not necessarily that you're a bad coach
09:44or anything like that, but new chemistries need to be formed.
09:47Like, that's what teams are looking for.
09:49What can we find that puts the most consistent thing on the field that holds for a long time?
09:53That's why you see some of these franchise teams, same coaching staff, same head coach.
09:57They try to keep these guys together as long as possible if they can.
09:59It's tough.
10:00And if it doesn't work out, again, maybe you had success somewhere, right?
10:04And you didn't hear.
10:05Well, why didn't you hear?
10:06Maybe it's the philosophy didn't work with our players and maybe the head coach and it didn't mesh.
10:12Go find a new chemistry.
10:13You see coaches bounce around all the time.
10:15So I don't think it was anything other than that.
10:19Like, hey, we want to try to do philosophy this year.
10:21Did you know Blau was, like, on a rocket ship?
10:24I mean, he had never called plays, hasn't been an OC, and he got that job because two other teams
10:29wanted to interview him
10:30and the Lions were about to hire him.
10:32Can you tell when there's a guy like that in your building?
10:34You can, but it doesn't show itself to the players as obvious, as obviously as it does for maybe some
10:42of the coordinators.
10:42Because if you're a coordinator, I talk to you all the time.
10:44You're talking to the team all the time.
10:45You're addressing us.
10:45I don't see the behind the scenes.
10:47I don't know who's talking in the meetings for their staff meetings.
10:49I don't know your reputation from another team that you're on.
10:53It's so political on the coaching side because they want guys they can trust.
10:56They want guys that they can depend on.
10:58If you have someone on your coaching staff, you want to make sure that I don't have to worry about
11:01them.
11:02I know they're going to take care of their stuff.
11:03And so if you have that reputation and you're starting to build that, that's very valuable.
11:06And so I think that's probably why he's gotten that position is because he's been vouched for to other places.
11:11And then behind the scenes, the stuff that I can't see as a player, he's really on top of it.
11:15So he's not like leading meetings last year helping Cliff out.
11:17No, that's Cliff's job.
11:18Yeah.
11:18That's Cliff's job.
11:19Just Cliff only.
11:20But it doesn't mean he wasn't as integral to the offense.
11:22He might have been coming up with plays and concepts.
11:24He actually did.
11:25Every once in a while he would come up with a concept and he'd be like, wow, go show us
11:28your concept.
11:29No way.
11:29Oh, that's awesome.
11:30We'd always joke around like, oh, this is one that he – because he was a quarterback too.
11:33Like the mad scientist.
11:33This is one that he brought back from his quarterback days and stuff like that.
11:37Has there been a guy in your career that you've gone, that dude, that's it.
11:41That's a rocket ship.
11:42He's going somewhere.
11:43He's going to be a star, a savant.
11:45Hmm.
11:46Hmm.
11:46Hmm.
11:48Again, it's tough for me as a player to see that because I talk to like two people.
11:53I talk to the coordinator.
11:53I talk to my running back coach.
11:55Yeah.
11:55That's pretty much it.
11:55Everything else is on the practice field and walking by.
12:00It's almost like – it's hard to probably imagine, but like think of like just a big office.
12:04You know, sometimes you interact with some people and sometimes –
12:06You're sharing one cubicle with two people basically.
12:08Exactly.
12:09So I talk to –
12:09They're on the other side of the building.
12:10If we're here, we talk to each other.
12:11Whoever's over there, I don't know.
12:12We work for the same company, but they're over there.
12:14Gotcha.
12:14You know, so it's hard for me to say.
12:15And that's an offensive coach.
12:16Yeah.
12:17You probably don't even know who the linebackers coaches are at that point.
12:20Sometimes there's assistant coaches.
12:20I don't know their name.
12:21It's just like we're on the same mission.
12:24Like, what's up, coach?
12:25You know, and it's mutual.
12:26It's not like there's anything personal about that.
12:28It's just the way it goes.
12:29I mean, there's so many interactions with a lot of people in the organization.
12:33What's your confidence in – I remember when you first came over,
12:36we talked a lot about Justin Herbert and how much you liked him in L.A.
12:39What's your confidence in Jaden having a bounce or bounce back?
12:43I think he has to.
12:44Everything's kind of set up for him, too.
12:45Like, this is a very crucial year for Jaden.
12:48Not only just because of the organization, but because for him.
12:51I think his trajectory is going up, and it's like, all right, let's get back on that.
12:55Let's get back on that.
12:55He's got the potential to have that skill.
12:57So you want to make sure – obviously, if you have a dip, you're –
12:59hey, the dip doesn't slow you down.
13:01And so I think that's going to be good for him to show and prove that, hey, yeah,
13:04it was a bounce back year because I had injuries,
13:06but injuries haven't slowed me down at all.
13:08Still really young.
13:08Still a lot of talent around his team, too.
13:12We'll see how it plays out.
13:13We'll see how it plays out.
13:14I'm not on the team anymore, so I can't help him myself.
13:17But as far as him, I think he's one of the players that can take over the game
13:21because he is so athletic.
13:23We saw, I mean, the 2024 running all over the place when he needed to,
13:28almost sometimes too much, but can take over the game.
13:32And so with that, I think he gives himself the most upside to actually come back
13:36and make that bounce back.
13:37How do you learn that?
13:38When you say sometimes almost too much, like when to play hero,
13:41when you don't need to – were you referencing just because of, like,
13:45injuries and stuff?
13:45No, I think 2024, the first game he played, he had, like, 19 rushes.
13:49It was, like, 16 against –
13:51Crazy.
13:52I'm like, okay, like, this man, he's trying to take over a little too much out here.
13:56But, again, that's what I'm saying.
13:57Like, he has the potential to do that, which I love.
13:59Played with Jayden.
14:00And here's the thing.
14:00Dang it, this is just a funny stat.
14:02I had two rookie quarterbacks.
14:04Both have been offensive rookie of the year.
14:06This is true.
14:06You're the whisperer.
14:07I'm saying, look, I don't do bad with a rookie quarterback, you know.
14:09The Raiders should bring you in with Mendoza this year.
14:11Hey, I'm right here.
14:13I walked down the street to the facility.
14:16Oh, I lost my train of thought.
14:18You were talking about Daniels and just progressing, kind of getting back on track.
14:23Yeah, I think he's in year three, which is a massive year too,
14:25just coming into the league.
14:26Year one, rookie year, you're still figuring out –
14:28being able to use your legs, things like that.
14:30You start to learn.
14:31You learn through trial and error in this league and then at the quarterback position especially.
14:35And you have the shortest window there for people to really kind of believe in you or not, right?
14:39Once you establish yourself a couple times, then boom, you kind of have a legacy ready to go.
14:43But early on is super critical for these quarterback positions because there's such a hot commodity of do we need
14:49a new one?
14:49Because if you don't have a quarterback that is at least solid, you have no chance of making it to
14:55the end.
14:55So I want to ask you about some of the fantasy stuff you're doing, but you're so involved in fantasy
14:59football.
14:59Yeah.
14:59Are you like big – are you – right now, card collectors are going out and they're buying stock on
15:04guys.
15:04Are you buying Jaden stock in fantasy, in other words?
15:06Yes.
15:07Okay.
15:07Well, here's the thing.
15:08The upside and the running, I love the running.
15:10And then not only that, mobile quarterbacks give you, in my opinion, a better opportunity because they can make plays
15:15on their feet.
15:16Like it breaks down.
15:17There's always a second option for them to get the ball down the field.
15:20And so I love that with – you know, Patrick Mahomes is like one of the best at it, right?
15:23He's mobile.
15:24Not as mobile as Jaden is.
15:25Lamar is another one, right?
15:26Yeah.
15:26Can create.
15:27Guys that can create can absolutely get it done in the fantasy world.
15:31The quarterbacks are deep, though, this year.
15:32There's some good pocket passes out there.
15:34You know, you've got Drake May.
15:35You've got Justin Herbert.
15:36You guys that are going to stay in there.
15:37They can still move a little bit, but we're going to sit in there and sling the thing.
15:40So quarterback position, if I'm looking at fantasy, I'm not even – I'm not getting to that until way late
15:44because we've got to get some of these bell cows.
15:46We've got to get some of these number one receivers out there first.
15:49So how are you doing your drafts at this point?
15:51A couple guys at the top, we know those names, but if a receiver falls, you say it's seven.
15:56How are you structuring most of your teams in your drafts right now?
15:58Right now I'm trying to get running backs ASAP.
16:00Because the fall off of philosophy is much different than it is for the receiver.
16:05If you're a receiver one, you're a receiver one.
16:07You might be an RB one, but you might be a bell cow RB one.
16:10You might be a split carry RB one.
16:12You might be in a committee RB one.
16:14So like the philosophy of receiver one, you're the receiver one.
16:17You're going to be getting probably most of the targets this year.
16:20Running back, you might be running back one, but you might be sharing half your share with people.
16:25So 100% looking at the running backs first.
16:28And then if I get down into third, fourth round, that's what I'm looking for.
16:33If I get one early, but I don't like any of the running backs, I mean, I don't care.
16:38I'm taking the running back number one and probably number two.
16:41And so I'm in the three range, four range for any of my receivers at that point.
16:45So that's where I'm at.
16:46So this has always kind of been your number two passion, fantasy football, it feels like, in terms of just
16:52football stuff, right?
16:55If you're not playing this year, how involved are you going to be?
16:57I mean, you're going to obviously you're running a lot of your own leagues.
17:00Yeah, so I'm running my own league.
17:01It's called Fantasy Royale.
17:02So a lot of people invite me to their leagues.
17:04I can't join everyone.
17:05So I was like, let me create a league that everyone can join.
17:07Let's make it free to play so it's all competition.
17:09And let's see who the best is and all the different fan bases, all the different states, the nation.
17:16And so that's what it is.
17:17It's a massive fantasy league, free to join.
17:20I have a ton of prizes up for grabs.
17:21So if you're going to be competing in the commander's fan base, you can win some signed commander's gear and
17:27stuff like that.
17:27But you compete across the nation.
17:29And so I wanted to give something that all fans can come together and actually kind of just compete in
17:36one big spot.
17:36And right now I don't think there's really something that kind of crowns someone as the best in the league,
17:41best in the nation.
17:41And so I want to bring some notoriety to the fantasy space out there.
17:44I love that.
17:44But what's your favorite last place punishment you've heard of for fantasy losers?
17:50I've heard some interesting ones.
17:51I've heard like there's like one you have to like stay in like a fast food restaurant.
17:56Can't leave the Waffle House.
17:56Yeah, yeah, that one.
17:57Those are very fun.
17:58You can like eat your way out of it, you know.
18:00Like whatever you eat may take stuff off.
18:05Oh, my goodness.
18:07I heard one.
18:08It was you have to cut whoever wins or cut someone in the league's lawn with scissors.
18:13That was interesting.
18:15That's hilarious.
18:16Scissors.
18:16Go cut the lawn with scissors or mow the lawn with scissors.
18:19I haven't heard that.
18:20I saw one this morning.
18:21A guy was on the clock, and he said, okay, honey, you're up.
18:23That was the punishment.
18:24Was his wife, who has never seen a football game, has to make blind, you can't say a word, on
18:30video, picks your first round pick.
18:32No.
18:32Oh, with all due respect, this is a guy, a great career, but she goes, Debo Samuel, that seems fun,
18:38picks him one one.
18:39Oh, man.
18:39That's great.
18:40I mean, that's just setting you up to be last every year then.
18:42Every year on the air, we come up with our punishment as a show, and my suggestion has always been
18:48loser gets a cat.
18:50Gets a cat?
18:51Gets a cat, like an actual cat.
18:53That is horrible.
18:54Right?
18:54That's tough, right?
18:56Because that lives with you.
18:58Exactly.
18:58And then you can't get rid of that because now you feel bad.
19:01It's like a nine-year commitment.
19:03It's the forever reminder of your failure.
19:05And now if someone's really bad, now they're like a crazy cat person.
19:07Yeah, they have six cats.
19:09Next stop, Taylor Swift.
19:10They're going to stop joining your league after that.
19:13Austin, it's good catching up with you, man.
19:14Great seeing you, and hopefully, phone rings soon, and you can get back into the league.
19:18Heck yeah.
19:19I'd love to.
19:21I still got a connection to the commanders over there, too, so you never know.
19:23That's right.
19:23You never know.
19:24We're hoping Bill can have a big year.
19:26Yeah.
19:26Again, it's going to be a committee over there, as you guys know.
19:29We'll see how it plays out, though.
19:31I think Coach Lynn does a great job utilizing the running backs.
19:34Not great for fantasy, but for the team, I think it helps the team.
19:38You play players to their strengths.
19:39That's always going to give you the best chance to win.
19:42Well, appreciate you.
19:42It's good to see you.
19:43Good to see you, my friend.
19:44Nick Maxler on Grant and Danny coming back with you from Vacuum.
