00:00Rockstar Games has finally responded to the GTA 6 leaks, because after more than a week of leaked
00:06gameplay spreading across X, YouTube, and Reddit, Rockstar has finally broken its silence and they
00:12are calling this situation heartbreaking. But there's something even more important buried
00:17inside the official statement. Rockstar just confirmed exactly where GTA 6 stands right now,
00:23and what happens next could completely change how we see these leaks moving forward.
00:27So if you've been following the GTA 6 leaks over the past few days, you already know how crazy this
00:33has gotten. We've seen footage allegedly showing Jason, Lucia, police encounters, vehicles, Vice City
00:39locations, interiors, beaches, and a ton of gameplay mechanics that Rockstar obviously never intended
00:46to reveal this way. And with Rockstar's official extended look scheduled for tomorrow, August 27th
00:52on Netflix, the timing could not possibly be worse. But earlier this morning, Rockstar finally
00:58addressed everything, and their message was surprisingly personal. The official statement
01:02from Rockstar reads, Dear all, we know that many of you have been waiting to hear from us regarding
01:08the events of the past week. It would be an understatement to say that having videos of
01:12Grand Theft Auto 6 gameplay leak in this way has been heartbreaking for our team, and this is obviously
01:17not how we intended for you to see the game after all this time. We are very sorry that everything
01:22has taken so long as it has, from getting the game finished, nearly there, to sharing more details
01:26and official gameplay, and providing the community with everything you want to know. We are very excited
01:31for everyone to see the extended look tomorrow. It has taken longer than we wanted to get it ready,
01:37but as with everything we do, we know we need to exceed your expectations, and we are determined to
01:41deliver at the level you expect and deserve. While it is unfortunate that the intended game experience
01:46may now be impacted by some spoilers, we hope that everyone will wait a bit longer to experience
01:51the game for themselves on November 19th. We want to thank everyone in the community who has reached
01:56out with messages of support this past week. Your words have meant more to this team than you can
02:01imagine. Ultimately, we are making this game for you, and without you, we would not have the privilege
02:06of making games. We look forward to sharing more with you soon. Sincerely, Rockstar Games.
02:12So, overall, a pretty heartfelt message from the Rockstar team, and I think a lot of people within
02:18the GTA community are honestly a little bit divided on the GTA 6 leaks overall. Some people are
02:24supportive of Rockstar, they denounce the leaks, they're sad that they happened. On the other hand,
02:30another portion of the community is a bit happy about the leaks, and they attribute the leaked gameplay
02:35to Rockstar's poor marketing for GTA 6. So, let me know your thoughts about the recent GTA 6 leaks in
02:42the comments section below. Are you happy about the leaks? Are you sad about the leaks? Do you think
02:47that Rockstar could have done a better job at marketing this game? Regardless, we are only a day
02:52away from the official Netflix extended reveal trailer for GTA 6, and hopefully that reinvigorates a
03:00ton of hype and anticipation for the official release of GTA 6, which is coming out later this year on
03:06November 19th.
