00:00The second shout out I got to give is to my dear friend Susan Collins, the senator for Maine. Thank
00:05you.
00:09Now I always, whenever I'm in the great state of Maine, which is one of my favorite states, it's beautiful,
00:15it's got hardworking people, amazing industries.
00:17I love a state like Maine, which has got this incredible natural beauty, but is also a place of hardworking
00:24Americans.
00:24So I love to be here. And whenever I'm in Maine, I got to give Susan a little bit of
00:29crap.
00:30Because as you know, Susan is the most independent member of the United States Senate.
00:35And as the president of the United States Senate, she sometimes makes my job just a little bit harder.
00:41But she makes it harder because she is coming to work every single day and fighting not for a political
00:48party or not for any abstraction.
00:50She comes to work every single day and she fights for the great people of Maine.
00:55And I've seen it. Susan has been, I'll tell you a little story about Susan.
00:58She has been in my house probably a half dozen times, the vice president's residence at the Naval Observatory.
01:04And I've never seen a person who is more attuned to the details of every single thing.
01:10She's always asking, what does this do for Maine? How is this good for Maine? How is this bad for
01:15Maine?
01:15And she tries to get as much good for this state out of Washington and as little bad out of
01:20out of Washington for the state,
01:22which, by the way, is a very hard job, but she does it an amazing job.
01:27And so please give it up to our very independent friend, Susan Collins.
