00:00Authorities in the Waicaipura municipality in the Venezuelan state of Miranda reported
00:04that the rains of the last 24 hours in the region resulted in two people missing, one
00:09minor rescued alive and more than 156 homes affected.
00:17A vehicle carrying three people lost control, fell into the creek and was swept away. One
00:23of them, a minor, managed to escape thanks to her parents and her own efforts, making
00:29it as far as the entrance to the Valley Alto housing development. The other two people
00:34are missing. They are two people dearly loved by our community, including an evangelical
00:39Christian pastor. Well, there are many pastors here who are assisting with the search. We've
00:46been here since yesterday at 8,000 p.m. When we received the report about the search and
00:51rescue operation, we've been deployed and haven't stopped for a moment. I would like to express
00:56my gratitude for the support of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. As you can see, the
01:02men and women from the various units of the National Guard are here assisting us. They
01:08have been working side by side with us, along with civil protection and the volunteer rescue
01:13groups that have joined these efforts, which have now been underway for more than 24 hours.
01:19We've also had one five to six homes affected by the rains as of yesterday. We have a report
01:26of 36 so far for today, bringing the total to 56, where our social development teams have
01:33been deployed since 8,030 this morning. We have 15 teams there that will be deployed to
01:39different areas, and we've been working house by house to assess the damage. Starting tomorrow,
01:45we'll take the necessary steps to support each of the affected families.
