00:00Asma was completely complicit in the mass murder and industrial torture of hundreds of thousands
00:04of people. She has tried to portray herself as a reformer, but she then tried to position herself
00:12and her friends tried to position her as if there was nothing she could do. She would have been
00:15killed. She was kind of under the thumb of her husband. That's not really the full story at all.
00:21She was in charge of much of the economy. She was considered by the Kremlin to be a suitable
00:25successor to her husband and was instrumental in planning their escape to Russia. She was being
00:30groomed basically to take over the whole country. And she also headed, this is really disturbing,
00:37she headed a network of orphanages that held the children of the opposition figures and rebels.
00:42They were taken away from their parents and they were held as collateral in case their parents
00:47stepped out of line. I mean, the Observer's gone as far as to call her evil. She should be held
00:53accountable just as much as her husband, if not more so.
