00:09President Trump is the type of person that would steal your lunch money the
00:14first day. He'd steal the toque off your head the second day and the third day he'd
00:18steal your running shoes. He is not to be trusted whatsoever. We need to stay united.
00:23Good morning everyone or afternoon. As you've heard since last night around
00:29midnight, Donald Trump is putting tariffs on majority of the 338, 50%
00:35tariffs. We had a conversation with the Prime Minister all day yesterday right up
00:41to probably quarter to 12, 11.45 when he called me to tell me the news. And I've
00:48always said we need to fight these tariffs, tariff to tariff, dollar to dollar.
00:54And I'm glad he didn't sign that deal because it was a bad deal. It was a bad
00:59deal for Ontario. It was a bad deal for the auto sector, the steel sector and
01:04manufacturing sector. And we never started this fight but I can assure you we're
01:09going to win this fight. We're going to be United Team Canada. We're going to use
01:13every single tool we have here in Ontario and hopefully the rest of the Premiers
01:18feel the same way. We have to use every tool in our toolbox to make sure as Donald
01:24Trump is trying to inflict pain on every Canadian that we inflict pain right back. Until
01:31he realizes that we're his number one customer in the world. And yes, they're our number one
01:37customer. But we have to make sure that we look at every single asset that we have, no
01:44matter if it's a critical minerals or if it's a steel or if it's a nickel, anything that we
01:49have here in Ontario, everything's on the table. How much pain do you think as you
01:55said? Yeah, it will be painful but we have a strong, vibrant, diversified economy. We're
02:01diversifying around the world. And I think the job numbers, Minister, but my message to
02:07all the Premiers, we need to stick together. We need to take a Team Canada
02:11approach and everyone has to be in this fight. We can't have an outlier. We need all a group of
02:19all
02:19Premiers across the country to fight like they've never fought before.
