00:00Well, speaking on behalf of my ministerial colleagues and the victims, Minister is with us today too.
00:07We will fight for you. The government I lead will fight for you too.
00:13And I'm sure all of the politicians in the room would say the same.
00:18And this is because we understand something that's fundamentally important to recognise.
00:24And it's that the state, in my view, has a particular responsibility to you.
00:32And it's because the terrorists who attacked you and your loved ones were trying to attack us all.
00:39They were trying to attack British values, what this country stands for.
00:45And that is why we owe that duty to each and every one of you in return.
00:52And have we always fulfilled that duty to the highest level?
00:56I don't think I can stand before you today and say that we have.
01:00But today is a day to commit to be better, to do better.
