Valencia, Spain was battered by severe storms, with wind gusts reaching 149 km/h, torrential rain, hail and more than 4,000 lightning strikes recorded across the region. The powerful storms caused widespread damage, knocked down trees, disrupted railway services and damaged buildings, including the partial collapse of a church roof in Alzira. Lightning also sparked wildfires in parts of Valencia province.The storm system brought powerful winds and intense rainfall across the Valencian Community, with authorities responding to more than 120 incidents.
