Check out this deeply emotional family reunion as a mother is surprised by her husband after years of being separated by the war in Ukraine.

Yana Midushevska, from Dania Beach, Florida, USA, said her family had been separated by thousands of miles, with her and her mother living in the United States while her father remained in Ukraine.

The video captures the moment Yana's father unexpectedly arrives to surprise her mum after they had been apart for so long.

Her mother is visibly stunned when she realises who is standing in front of her, before the shock quickly turns into an emotional reunion filled with hugs, tears and happiness.

Yana said visits are not always possible because of the ongoing war, making her father's surprise arrival an incredibly special moment for the whole family.

She added that the reunion was a reminder that even through difficult times, family, love and precious moments can bring people back together.
