03:08energy. It utilises
03:10localised hydropower and solar
03:12capacity and it's establishing a
03:14sustainable blueprint for all
03:16upcoming residential developments across
03:18the region. Garabakh is undergoing
03:20hugely ambitious
03:22reconstruction programmes and
03:24has been celebrated as a model of good
03:26practice at the World Urban Forum.
03:28So we went on location
03:30to see the progress first hand.
03:42Our biggest challenge was
03:44starting reconstruction
03:46almost from the zero. And there
03:48was a list of challenges such as
03:50assessing damaged infrastructure,
03:52providing new utility
03:54networks. There's
03:56also a challenge of mountainous terrain
03:58with demanding
04:00climate conditions, also
04:02preserving the historical
04:04identity in the cities.
04:11We've used BIM
04:13technologies, which is building information
04:16modelling for construction,
04:19GIS plannings, drone surveys,
04:22laser scans for historical buildings
04:24as well. Personally, I'm really
04:26proud of that, taking part in
04:28rebuilding Shusha and
04:30creating better conditions
04:32for residents, for visitors.
04:35And this gives me hope
04:37for the future of Shusha.
04:39Rebuilding post-conflict areas has become
04:41a worldwide priority, as
04:43is housing for all, as stated
04:45by the United Nations. The developments
04:47in Garabakh has proven that with
04:49time, investment and effort, the
04:51vision can be achieved.
