00:00Why are we still modifying 30-year-old Civics?
00:05Because the Civic never tried to be the perfect car.
00:08It wasn't the fastest. It wasn't the most expensive.
00:11And in most cases, it wasn't even the most powerful.
00:15Honda did something far more intelligent.
00:17It built a machine so simple, so reliable, and with a chassis so perfectly balanced,
00:23that it almost felt like it was saying,
00:26now, it's your turn.
00:28Every generation became a blank canvas.
00:32Some lowered the suspension to carve through corners.
00:36Others dropped in an engine swap and doubled the horsepower.
00:40Some chased quarter-mile records.
00:45Others just wanted to build the machine they dreamed about when they were teenagers.
00:50That's why there are thousands of Civics, and almost no two are exactly alike.
00:55There has never been one single right way to build a Civic.
00:58Because a Civic has never been just what rolled out of the factory.
01:02It's the sum of every decision made by the person who built it.
01:06And maybe that's the real reason why, 30 years later, we're still modifying them.
01:11We're not chasing the perfect car.
01:13We're chasing a car that looks, feels, and drives like us.
01:19We're chasing the shots.
01:21We're chasing the host of our new car.
01:21Let's versucht it.
