Tyson Foods will close two beef plants and consider selling another as a historic cattle shortage raises costs.

00:14historic U.S. cattle shortage, according to Benzinga. The company plans to shift processing
00:20capacity to plants in Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas, and restore a second shift at its Amarillo
00:25facility as cattle supplies improve. U.S. cattle supplies have fallen to a 75-year low
00:31following prolonged drought and suspended cattle imports from Mexico. Tyson also closed a Nebraska
00:36beef plant earlier this year. The company expects its beef business to post an adjusted operating
