00:00Today's baseball, if the Yankees have that pitching, when we talk about offensive struggles,
00:04I don't know what the magic number is per game, and I know it all came in one inning,
00:09but you score four runs with this offense more times than not with this pitching.
00:13It should be enough, and it certainly was last night for the Yankees,
00:17who continue to kind of trend back upward here.
00:19I think we need to start making a rule.
00:24All right, new rule.
00:25New rule, who this?
00:26Well, we have to stop complaining about the Yankees not hitting because this is their reality for this.
00:33Until Aaron Judge and Stanton and Bellinger and those reinforcements come back up,
00:38we have to stop complaining about them not scoring runs because as this game went on,
00:43my thought was the same as it's been for the last month and a half,
00:47that they're going to blow and lose this game because they suck at the dish.
00:51They can't figure out how to manufacture hits.
00:54They're not hitting home runs at the rate that they used to, and I wanted to get mad.
00:59But then I remember what I said yesterday.
01:01Maybe this is just a different team.
01:03This is a team that is relying on great pitching,
01:06and they're relying on clutch hitting when it matters most.
01:10And so you just ask, Sean, what is the number that the Yankees need to get to every game?
01:17To me, it's three.
01:18Okay.
01:19I'm starting to have faith that this Yankee rotation and bullpen,
01:25even though they are increasingly being taxed,
01:28that they need to at least keep the opponent under three runs.
01:33And if they do that, then they're going to win the game.
01:36If the opponent scores four, we're screwed.
01:40That's the game I'm playing with myself every single Yankee game.
01:44Like, just whoever it is, Ryan Weathers, Schlittler, Cole, whoever is on the mound,
01:51Freed, keep them under four runs, and we have a chance to win.
