00:30malnutrition, multiple organ failure, severe septic shock and other complications from her cerebral palsy.
00:38She was supposed to be receiving care from Rosa Mayoni, an Integrity Care support worker who's now in jail for
00:45manslaughter.
00:46Two former directors of Integrity Care were also charged with criminal neglect, but today those charges were dropped.
00:54Alison Marie Virgo is no longer facing charges of any kind, while her co-accused, 46-year-old Amy June
01:02Collins, pleaded guilty to reckless conduct.
01:05The charge read to the court that Collins owed Miss Smith a duty of care, but engaged in conduct which
01:12exposed her to a risk of serious injury,
01:15and that she should have ensured her client's carer, Miss Mayoni, had written information about how Miss Smith's cerebral palsy
01:24impacted on her daily living and care needs.
01:27Instead of a possible life sentence for the charge of criminal neglect, Collins now faces a maximum penalty of five
01:35years behind bars.
01:37The 46-year-old will return to court later this month for a pre-sentence hearing.
