00:25Catherine and I were sadly not able to join you all last week when this wonderful new playground had its
00:31grand opening.
00:32But we're so happy to be with you today to celebrate this project and to say how proud we are
00:37of all of you and the community at Southport.
00:41The tragic events that unfolded in this town last year still remain difficult to comprehend.
00:47But last year, Sergio and Alex, you told us you wanted to create a special playground in memory of the
00:54girls, and here we are.
00:57Your vision and your determination, supported by Ginny, the trust, and people's generosity, has made this hope a reality.
01:05This playground is a symbol of how the community have come together to create such a positive place for the
01:12pupils of the school.
01:14A symbol of remembrance and resilience.
01:17A testament that love will always overcome tragedy.
01:23Many lives were changed on that terrible day, including countless members of this school community.
01:31Bibi, Alice, and Elsie's friends, and classmates, have come together to support each other and remember the girls in their
01:39own way.
01:41To the teaching community here at Church Sound Primary and Farnborough Road, where we visited this morning,
01:47each and every one of you has gone above and beyond to help heal this incredible group of young people.
01:55To Alex and Sergio, Lauren and Ben, Jenny and David, you are parents united in grief.
02:03You have faced such horror, but from that you move forward with grace and fortitude,
02:09creating the most remarkable legacies for your girls.
02:13We will always be here to support you.
02:16And to everyone impacted on that day, you will never be forgotten.
