Jon Hamm Faces a 63-Hour Nightmare in American Hostage

Jon Hamm is heading back to the seventies, but this is definitely no Mad Men. American Hostage puts him at the center of the incredible true story of radio reporter Fred Heckman, whose ordinary broadcast becomes a 63-hour nightmare when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis, played by Giovanni Ribisi, demands to go live on his show.

Based on a true story, American Hostage follows Heckman as he suddenly finds himself helping keep a man alive while thousands of listeners follow the ordeal over the radio. Hamm and Ribisi lead the MGM+ series as two men caught at the center of an increasingly dangerous standoff.

American Hostage premieres September 20 on MGM+.
