00:40to 2023 and i'm reading about this and he started all 14 games the 2023 season he was on the

00:48trophy watch list uh where they were the the top center in the in the uh in the country um
00:55and it played very well but it talks about it it said he did have some errant snaps
01:01in the 2023 season this is according to wikipedia it said one occurred in the 2023 iron bowl when
01:06auburn safety zion pickett clapped before the snap on a critical second down play
01:10which alabama left guard tyler booker confirmed on film in which her head coach nick saban said
01:15should have been penalized as illegal simulation the resulting bad snap now i remember how this happened
01:20the resulting bad snap and a subsequent penalty helped create a fourth and 31 situation at the
01:25alabama 31 oh boy and this is when jalen miller came in and threw that i remember that touchdown pass
01:31to isaiah bond i totally remember that and he was uh he was part of that game uh which was
01:38uh pretty cool
01:39um he uh then ended up going to uh ohio state uh through the transfer portal for the 2024 season
01:47um started 10 games in 2024 and then had the injury i believe uh that he ruptured his achilles on
01:57november 19th in practice and the question is to what degree did that play the role in him
02:03not being drafted or you know where would he have been drafted otherwise right he was a semi-finalist
02:09for the outland trophy despite having that injury at the end of his season um where he played just the
02:1510 games but those are the guys i'm cool with taking a risk on though like give me the major
02:21college experience guy who was up for the awards that might be missing a measurable in the nfl that
02:28they feel like you need yeah because i know that guy knows how to play the game and a guy
02:32that knows
02:33how to play the game i mean it's there's a reason he's the next guy up today he's getting first

02:39it to see if he can hold it down yeah i mean you and i both say we love the
02:43pedigree uh alabama ohio
02:45state uh center i mean the best programs in the country and you've played for both of them and
02:51been on the watch list for the remington trophy you were uh the finalist for the uh the outland
02:58trophy is the overall top lineman so there's a lot to like there the achilles okay it takes a while
03:02it takes a long time to recover from achilles i don't look at one year to the next i think

03:07a two-year injury as far as i'm concerned but he seems healthy you know how much of a lift
