00:00Copenhagen Fashion Week is about to kick off, but before it does, I wanted to put in some of my
00:03street style trend predictions.
00:05So this is what I think the cool girls in Copenhagen will be wearing this week.
00:08The first trend I can really see taking off is balloon trousers.
00:10Balloon trousers have been bubbling around as a bit of a summer trend for the past few months,
00:13but I think they're going to really land this week, and even more so as we move towards autumn.
00:17So they're such a nice alternative to jeans.
00:19They've got this voluminous finish, but still they're not overcomplicated.
00:22They're very easy to style.
00:23In that way, it makes them very scandy.
00:25Another trend that I can really see taking off in Copenhagen this week is beads.
00:28So designers are starting to have a lot more fun with them.
00:30We've seen them at Chanel, we've seen them at Saint Laurent.
00:32And I think that because the summer months were so dominated by lace,
00:35as we move towards autumn, we'll start seeing a lot more beads around.
00:37If you get them in wooden finishes, they still have this earthy quality to them that makes them still quite
00:42easy to style,
00:43but it does give your outfit this dimension and texture.
00:45Or you can go the other way and you can shop them in these colourful plastic styles,
00:50giving your outfit a ton of play and nostalgia.
00:52In terms of colour trends, I'm expecting to see a lot of turquoise coming through this season.
00:55So the Scandi set are so known for loving their neutrals,
00:58but I'm expecting amongst those we're getting lots of pops of this vibrant colour.
01:02So it's been such a big trend over the summer months.
01:04And I think we'll give it one final push.
01:05Some turquoise bags, some turquoise shoes, maybe some turquoise tops.
01:08I think it's going to be the colour that we're seeing the most in Copenhagen this week.
01:11Okay, I'm also expecting to see a lot of footless socks this season.
01:14I know that sounds kind of funny,
01:16but if you've been paying attention to the Mimi runways,
01:18you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
01:19I think these are going to be taking off in a big way
01:21because the flip-flop trend has been so huge over the summer months.
01:24I think we'll still see a lot of people styling flip-flops,
01:26but I think they'll be elevating them,
01:28adding some texture, some dimension to their look with this new sock trend.
