00:00Ok, congrats on this second season. Tell me what can the fans expect from the new episodes?
00:07They can still be looking for this nostalgia that you felt in the first season.
00:13It's all the time there because we are again in the 90s and you can expect this group friendship that
00:21we created over and over in the season.
00:24You're going to see it a lot. You're going to love it.
00:26How cool was going back to the 90s?
00:30It was amazing. When you work in fiction you always have that opportunity to travel in time, to travel to
00:38different places but also different times in history.
00:44I grew up in Mexico City so it was like traveling back in time in a city you grew up
00:48in but now a couple of decades before and it was amazing.
00:52And tell me each of you about your characters. How are they going to evolve in this new season?
00:59For Diego I had a really good time telling his story this season because there's an arc.
01:07As we know he didn't end things properly in the first season so he's making up for it and it
01:13was very rich and exciting as an actor to play a different side of Diego that we saw in the
01:20first season.
01:21And kind of like show a little bit of his heart. Marifere still hates me as you can tell.
01:27But there's hope. There's hope. I keep trying and I have hope.
01:34Marifere is learning how to live with grief because of losing her friend and I think she keeps trying to
01:47find who she really is and who she wants to be when she grows up.
01:56Yeah. How important is it for you guys to present this second season at De La Leaf in the heart
02:03of Hollywood?
02:04It's very important. I think it's a reflection of how far the project has gone, how far it's connected.
02:12It's not even just Mexico anymore and it's very specific to Mexico because it's Mexico City in the 90s.
02:19But like Camila said earlier, they're universal stories which connect with everyone because friendship is universal, because grief is universal,
02:30because identity is universal.
02:34So we're really happy that this is connecting in a lot of places including right here in the US.
02:40Do you think platforms like Prime Video give you guys as artists and actors more opportunities?
02:49I think so. This is an example of that. I think Prime Video took us here, brought us here.
02:55We met doing the show and I don't think we ever expected to have a screening in Hollywood.
03:01And I think that's thanks to Prime Video and La Leaf. So thank you very much for bringing us here.
03:06It's a dream come true.
03:07And tell me about your characters again. What have you learned from your characters?
03:13I think it's important to let go sometimes because sometimes you're so attached to things that you get blurry and
03:23don't see that there is a way out.
03:25So sometimes it's better to let go and stop harming yourself.
03:30From the first season, I always carry with me the concept of having to keep going without letting go necessarily
03:38of the pain.
03:39Like the pain kind of comes with you, you know, and you still have to keep going.
03:43But that's part of life. And then the second season, there's a lot of like the truth will set you
03:50free kind of thing with Alex.
03:52And yeah, I think I think the line goes kind of there.
03:58I think that Mary Fair thinks out of the box. So and she doesn't follow the path that she's supposed
04:10to follow.
04:11And that's important, I think.
04:15And with Diego, I think he he channels a lot of that broken masculinity from the 90s and being afraid
04:24of showing emotions.
04:27And what I learned from him is that it's important to to reach out and look for help whenever you
04:34need it.
04:34You know, everything.
