00:00There's something therapeutic about stepping into the shoes of somebody else and looking
00:04at the world through a different lens, but it does force you to pay additional attention
00:10or maybe you do it anyway as an actor, that's why you're drawn to it because there's a fascination
00:15with people and what makes them tick and the why and the how.
00:19It also gives you an additional layer of sort of empathy, you know, you understand the path
00:23to how someone got there and especially if you're playing someone who may be a villain
00:28and, you know, you don't want to, you know, the villain obviously doesn't think they're
00:31the villain, they think that they're the hero in the story and so, okay, how do you reverse
00:34engineer that and what is it that that individual would have to have been exposed to to have
00:40led them to this place and then you go, oh wow, is it that hard to fall off the path
00:44if
00:45you've come from an abusive background, if you're, you know, you didn't have parents to
00:50model the correct behaviour, if you're exposed to the wrong things and as a young kid, you
00:54know, so.
