00:13We're only back right now for like a week and a half.
00:17Or a couple weeks of festivals.
00:18But yeah, overall we've done a lot of festivals this summer.
00:21You know, I have like live at Leeds records and stuff like that.
00:25And live at Reading.
00:25And it's kind of like you can sort of feel the weight of it.
00:29But I think as long as we treat it like we do most shows,
00:34then we won't get too freaked out by it.
00:36You know what I mean?
00:37The Latitude Festival was really nice.
00:39It was enjoyable.
00:41I like the size of it.
00:43These big ones are kind of crazy.
00:45I mean, it's not bad, but it's a much different experience.

00:51Maybe it's because I'm Canadian.
00:55I find too if you put too much weight on the thing,
00:59then the thing is not as good as you think it's going to be.

01:03Like Glastonbury is hard to actually get the scope of it
01:06at like whatever it is, a hundred and x thousand people.
01:10It's like you don't want to really think about that.
01:12It's just like our stage, we do what we do,
01:15and let's hope it goes well.
01:17It depends on the festival.
01:19Some of the festivals there's a huge space between...
01:21Like there's a barrier with like press and just security barriers or whatever,
01:26and sometimes that can be a little weird,
01:28but at some of the festivals you can figure out people.
01:31You always try and connect with like people you can see.
01:34I mean, you can usually only see the first ten rows, but...
01:37At night time too, sometimes some of the songs we have lights go up in the crowd,
01:41and all of a sudden you can see everybody,
01:43and it's sort of actually a bit of a rush to me anyway.
01:46Like all of a sudden you see that there's thousands of people there,
01:49and it's kind of amazing because often it's...
01:51I mean you know people are there, but it's a bit abstract.
01:57I always try to see bands that I would never normally go see.
02:01Like we saw Tool the other night, which was pretty cool and awesome,
02:05but I probably wouldn't go to a Tool show just because...
02:09I don't know why.
02:10There's some bands you start seeing...
02:12Like just because we were doing the circuit this summer,
02:14there were a bunch of bands we ended up playing in lots of shows with,
02:17like Bright Eyes and LCD Sound System,
02:19and it was kind of fun to catch them on multiple occasions
02:22and see how the shows change from night to night.
02:24We try and keep the upbeat ones like less of the quieter, long ones.
02:32It depends how long the set is too,
02:34but I mean the Power Out Rebellion thing always goes over well,
02:38like 99% of the time.
02:40And I think we went into this tour sort of avoiding Wake Up,
02:44like we hadn't been playing that one so much,
02:45but then when we started the festival tour again we like put that back in the set,
02:49and that seems to go fairly well at a festival.
02:52People can sing along.
02:54It's actually fairly quiet.

02:56Just watch shitty movies and most, you know, I go to bed.
03:00The minute I'm in the bus I go to bed.
03:02It's just comfy.
03:03It's kind of like a little tune.
03:05But last night was the first night, I don't know what happened,
03:07but we finished the show in Paris and like, you know, we're like 12 on the bus,
03:13but another 15 or 20 people came with us, like friends of friends,
03:18and this person needed a ride back to Paris and all these people,
03:21and there was actually like standing room only, the first floor and the top floor of the bus.
03:24Like it was really weird.
03:27Like full, full, full.
03:28That was the first time that ever happened.
03:30And it'll never happen again.
03:32Like because we all went to bed today and there was like mud and all the bunks and everything.
