00:13Kuala Lumpur-Bentong Old Road near Janda Baik on Monday afternoon. Also killed were his wife,
00:20Nuriani Mohamed Jafri, 36, one of their five-year-old twin sons, Mohamed Riz Hazim,
00:26and his 35-year-old brother-in-law, Mohamed Nizam Mohamed Jafri.
00:32The couple's other twin son, Mohamed Riz Hazik, suffered serious injuries. He received initial
00:38treatment at Bentong Hospital before being transferred to Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital
00:43in Termolo for further treatment. The incident occurred at about 12.30pm when the family was
00:50travelling from Bentong towards Janda Baik and a tree suddenly toppled onto their vehicle.
00:55Maharan Amno Division Chief Datuk Shri Shahaniza Shamsuddin confirmed the identities of the victims,
01:02describing them as the family of the Maharan Amno Youth Chief.
01:06Pahang Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations, Mohamed Salahuddin Isa,
01:12said eight firefighters took more than an hour to extricate the four victims trapped inside the
01:18pickup truck before they were pronounced dead at the scene. The bodies were sent to Sultan
01:23Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Termolo for post-mortem examinations.
