00:00We treat artificial intelligence as a technology that can either be standalone or combined with other technologies that would support

00:16It's critical though in artificial intelligence in establishing a sovereign data and that is why at the Department of Science
00:25and Technology we are establishing a data, a set of data that would not only digitalize many of our information
00:38but make sure that those that can be located anywhere in the Philippines would have the geographic information through GIS.
00:46So our goal is to combine artificial intelligence with geospatial analytics or geo-AI to really provide not only identification
00:57of the root causes of the problem and also provide the best solution appropriate to the problem at the local
01:04and national level.
01:05And I'm very thankful for this AI Fest second year here in Iloilo and this would not only showcase the
01:15skills of our Kababayans here in Western Visayas but most importantly showcase to those that are not using AI how
01:24AI can be used in our ordinary life.
