01:15The acting president of Venezuela, Elsie Rodriguez, held a high level meeting to review and monitor the construction
01:21progress of new housing for families affected by the twin earthquakes. The meeting focused on
01:26discussing strategies to accelerate recovery efforts in the affected states. The government
01:31reformed its plan to deliver 4,000 homes before December and emphasized that all new housing
01:36projects must comply with rigorous soil studies and earthquake resistance construction standards.
01:42In this context, the acting president, Rodriguez, reiterated that protecting families impacted by
01:47the twin earthquakes remains the government's top priority and reformed the state's commitment to
01:52the country's comprehensive recovery through judicial, financial, and direct assistance measures.
02:04Electricity minister Rolando Alcala confirmed that 98% of electricity service in La Guaira has been
02:11restored following the strong earthquakes that struck the region. Speaking from the Caravalleda parish,
02:17the head of the electricity sector assured that work groups are progressively moving toward areas where
02:23water outages are still persist, prioritizing the most affected communities. For its part,
02:29Governor José Alejandro Teherán explained that 98 new transformers have been installed and more than 21 substations
02:36have been repaired. Efforts are concentrated in the areas with the most collapsed buildings since most of the
02:43electrical installations are located in basements. To speed up the response, solar-powered poles are being installed in critical areas.
02:51In addition, more than 400
02:52ministry workers are participating in this operation deployed to bring hope and power to every home in La Guaira.
03:06And in Venezuela, more than 30,000 metric tons of debris are being processed in La Guaira state, the area
03:12most affected by the recent double earthquake on June 24.
03:16The operations connects the collection center in the town of Caravalleda with the Urimaril landfill, two key locations for clearing
03:23the communities and protecting the marine ecosystem. Luis Tavera brings us the details.
03:30A little over a month after the earthquakes in Venezuela, this isn't just a place where tons of concrete and
03:36dirt arrive, it's the starting point for reconstruction. Every truck that enters here marks the end of a clean-up
03:42phase and the beginning of a technical process
03:45to repurpose what the earthquake left behind. Today we're visiting this temporary waste disposal and sorting center to show you,
03:55step by step, what actually happens to every cubic meter of material removed from the streets. This is Rafael Pimentel,
04:06manager of the temporary debris disposal center in Caravalleda, who oversees the reception and sorting of the material that arrives
04:13here for further processing.
04:17We've been here since July 2nd. We began receiving the remains here at this site. The process works like this.
04:30The trucks arrive. The material from the transfer station is brought to the storage yard. Here, the metallic material is
04:41separated from the non-metallic material.
04:48And then it goes to the insurance company for the processing phase. The metallic material is extracted, loaded onto specialized
04:57equipment, and transported to the final processing site, just like the processed material.
05:06More than 40 workers and specialized machinery, such as hydraulic hammers, are working on the separation and processing of concrete
05:14columns, sand, and metallic materials. Contrary to what one might think, no material is dumped into the water.
05:21The process includes a containment barrier that serves as a safety barrier to prevent debris from the impact zone from
05:28reaching the coast and thus protect the Caribbean Sea.
05:35We're creating a safety zone here. And from now on, we're going to start building terraces so that when debris
05:44comes from the disaster zone, it will encounter a sort of barrier that will prevent that material from reaching the
05:53safety zone.
05:55We're going to protect our Caribbean Sea. Debris removal and response efforts in the region have continued uninterrupted. As part
06:02of this operation, the technical team conducted a thorough assessment and adjusted the machinery to ensure optimal performance of the
06:10crushing process.
06:11Jimmy Cardona, who is in charge of logistics and operations for the crushing process, experienced that contrast the moment he
06:18set foot in La Guayra.
06:23I felt a deep sense of pain because this was my first time coming to La Guayra and my first
06:28experience wasn't the best. But we're here with a completely positive mindset and the determination to help La Guayra rise
06:34again.
06:36After sorting and crushing in Carabaleta, the story continues at the material's final destination. We travel to the Santa Eduvigas
06:43landfill in the Yuromare Parish, where the scale of the operation is impressive.
06:53We're receiving approximately 30,000 metric tons of debris. So as you can see, the Terrace 6, it covers 5
07:07hectares. And the Terrace 7, up to 6 hectares.
07:15Processing nearly 30,000 metric tons of debris is the first step toward rebuilding La Guayra.
07:21It's an ongoing effort that cleans the streets, protects the environment, and restores a sense of security to its communities.

08:19The Ministry of the United States is a part of Ceuta after more than 50,000 migrants entered the territory
08:22from Morocco, triggering a political crisis for the Madrid government.
08:26The death toll has unveiled this by the president of Ceuta Juan Jesús Vivas.
08:31While the Ministry of the Interior reported on Friday that a total of 50,000 people have entered Spain illegally
08:37since the migration crisis began.
08:40The Ministry added that of those nearly 25,000 have voluntarily returned to Morocco.
08:45Spain has deployed the military to Ceuta after the migrants overwhelmed police barricades.
08:52Although both countries have stepped out security, thousands of people continue to try to cross.
08:57Ceuta, together with Melilla, represents the European Union's only land border with Africa, with both cities often experiencing surges in
09:05attempted crossing by migrants.
09:13And on Friday, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez traveled to Ceuta to assess the current migration crisis, labeling the irregular
09:19entry of thousands of people of Morocco as a violation of Spain's territorial integrity.

10:37The Cuban official reported that the proposal reduces the number of central state administration bodies from 27 to 21, including
10:4520 ministers and the Central Bank of Cuba.
10:48He added that the new structure will streamline administrative processes, minimize videocratic burdens, and enhance the design implementation and oversight
10:57of public policies.
11:07The first Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz
11:13Canel, addressed Parliament at the close of its seventh ordinary session.
11:17The head of state said that the months between the previous National Assembly session in December 2025 and the current
11:24parliamentary meeting were marked by an extremely complex scenario.
11:27He denounced the intensification of the United States economic pressure policy against Cuba, as well as the coercion and intimidation
11:34of countries and organizations that show solidarity with the Cuban revolution.
11:38In this regard, Díaz Canel stated that the economic blockade extends beyond the energy sector to all legitimate sources of
11:46revenue, including foreign investment and trade.
11:49The President noted that in response to this context, Cuba is once again adapting its economic model.

13:03The initiative organized by the Argentine Movement for Solidarity with Cuba managed to acquire and ship throughout the Estamos con
13:10Cuba, We Stand with Cuba fundraising campaign,
13:13a total of 45 solar-powered systems, each with the capacity of 3 kilowatts, including their respective panels, embedders, and
13:22batteries, which the Ministry of Energy and Mines will be responsible for distributing and installing.
13:27The campaign received donations from across the country, collected through cultural activities, events, and gatherings.
13:34Upon the container's arrival, organizer Alberto Mas explained that the solar kits will benefit 45 families or organizations with priority
13:43given to children's schools and medical clinics.
13:53Moving on to Argentina, Javier Milay's government signed a decree and amendment the immigration law to deport foreigners who make
14:00statements considered offensive to the country.
14:03The regulation also prohibits 40 nationals abroad who engage in such conduct from entering the country, while those already in

14:12In light of this, legal experts and constitutional scholars warned that the measures require mandatory ratifications by Congress.

14:32The Argentine president Javier Milay has unveiled aggressive new fiscal measures triggering sharp criticism for state labor unions over deep
14:41public sector cuts.
14:42The proposed reform package seeks to restructure the central bank and enforce an automatic state shutdown in cases of prolonged
14:50deficits,
14:50while Milay frames the move as physical discipline.
14:54Labor leaders and social organizations warn that the administration's relentless austerity has already paralyzed essential public services,
15:02driving up unemployment and devastating domestic consumption.
15:05Workers unions denounce the measures as a continuation of extreme neoliberal policies backed by the IMF.

17:02Iranian drones struck us U.S. military facilities at Kuwait's Ahmad al-Jaber base
17:07in retaliation for the U.S. attacks on Kesham Island that left at least three dead.
17:12The Iranian army announced on Friday that its round-struck fighter jet hangars,
17:16satellite communication system and military equipment warehouses at Ahmad al-Jaber base in Kuwait,
17:23marking the 27th phase of Operation Saika.
17:26The army said that the operation was carried out in retaliation for the latest U.S. attacks on Iranian soil,
17:32including a brutal attack on a residential home on Kesham Island.
17:36The Iranian army further asserted that the scale and intensity of the strikes have made intercepting Iranian drones
17:43and missiles increasingly difficult and costly for U.S. forces,
17:47adding that Washington has restored to strict media censorship to keep the extent of damage,
17:52casualties and injuries from these strikes out of public view.
18:03In Palestine, the Hamas resistance movement has reached an agreement with Gaza's so-called Board of Peace,
18:09which includes the gradual Israeli withdrawal from the Palestinian enclave and provisions over the group's weapons.
18:15Senior Hamas officials confirmed the diplomatic achievement as discussions continue over the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza
18:23ceasefire plan.
18:24In this sense, Egypt is set to host a meeting soon involving Gaza ceasefire mediators, including the United States, Qatar
18:30and Turkey,
18:31which is expected to focus on mechanisms for implementing the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan,
18:37a roadmap that Hamas and Palestinian factions have agreed to discuss.
18:41However, Hamas's political bureau stressed that the deal depends on Israel compliance with the agreements which require its forces to
18:48withdraw,
18:49reopen crossings and halt assassinations.
19:00For his part, Nikolai Mladenov, High Representative of the Gaza Board of Peace, took to his ex-social media account
19:06to praise the agreement,
19:08saying, today's agreement has been reached on the decommissioning of weapons and civilian transition in Gaza.
19:14It took months of very difficult negotiations to get here.
19:18There were several points when I did not believe we would make it.
19:22What the agreement says matters, what happens next matters even more.
19:26Implementation and verification have to be real.
19:29Withdrawal must move in lockstep with decommissioning on the war,
19:32and the Palestinian people need the political and practical backing to take charge of their own future.
19:45Hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched throughout Central Paris on Thursday,
19:49demanding the immediate release of a prominent Gaza doctor held by Israeli forces since late 2024.
19:55Organized by human rights activists, demonstrators rallied in support of Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya,
20:02former director of Kamal Adwan Hospital.
20:05Protesters say he faces harsh mistreatment and severe weight loss held under administrative detention without formal charges.
20:11The Israeli military alleged ties between Abu Safiya and Hamas allegations rejected by colleagues and medical organizations.
20:19Israel's prison service denies abuse claims, following a Supreme Court ruling extending his detention.
20:26Campaigners insist the doctor is a hostage of circumstances going to continue international demonstrations
20:32until he and other detained medical personnel are freed.
20:41Dr. Abu Safiya is a hostage, meaning he was kidnapped by the Israeli army and faces no charges whatsoever.
20:56Yet he is subjected to mistreatment and torture.
21:01He has lost over 40 kilograms since being imprisoned by Israel.
21:07And representatives of the genocidal regime have brought no charges against him.
21:13A delegation was received, accompanied by Mathilde Panot, the head of the LFI group in the National Assembly.
21:21And the response was essentially a flat refusal, a move-along, nothing-to-see-here attitude.
21:26They claimed France could do nothing, that it wasn't within their jurisdiction,
21:30and suggested we try the European Union or something similar.
21:34I believe it was a way to discourage us from continuing to protest.
21:41Protesters in Bulgaria have taken to the streets to denounce the government's decision,
21:45allowing U.S. military aircraft to deploy on domestic soil amid the Middle East conflict.
21:51Demonstrators rallied in the city of Jambal carrying anti-war banners
21:54and calling for an immediate end to foreign military deployment at Besmer Air Base.
21:59The protest follows Parliament's approval, allowing up to eight U.S. aerial refueling tankers
22:05and 250 personnel to use the facility throughout October.
22:10Local activists and political leaders criticized the move as national treason,
22:14warning that hosting foreign operations risks dragging the Balkan nation into escalating Middle East conflicts.
