Liverpool’s civic headquarters will become a filming location for Army of Shadows, a major new drama series being made in the city.

The production adds to Liverpool’s growing reputation as a location for high-profile film and television projects.

00:01Liverpool Town Hall is set to feature in a new Channel 4 thriller as filming continues across
00:06the city. Army of Shadows will use the Civic Building for scenes in the six-part drama inspired
00:11by a second World War Resistance story. The series has been adapted by Ronan Bennett,
00:17who is renowned for his role as a showrunner on Top Boy. It stars Paddy Considine, America Ferrara,
00:23and Kit Harington. Liverpool Film Office is supporting the production after the city
00:28attracted major film and television projects including Batman and Peaky Blinders. Crews have
00:33already filmed scenes on Lark Lane and more locations around Merseyside could be announced
00:38for filming as production plans continue in the future.
