00:00This from Chi or Che, you positive B.A. ain't playing for us when he is.
00:07Hope you have same hate, but sure you will say you were with him.
00:14Che, come on, man.
00:18First of all, he ain't playing for us.
00:22Secondly, if he goes on some sort of an apology tour and ends up back in the league
00:27and ends up back in our locker room, I'll be cheering for him to play well.
00:32I'm absolutely sure he was on his way to being an elite-level wide receiver
00:38at the end of 2023.
00:39I know I'm in the minority on that, but I was saying it during the time
00:42that this dude is legit great.
00:46And so before the last six, seven weeks, I was actually on board with,
00:54you know, as long as I said over and over again, as long as physically he checks out
00:57and mentally he checks out, if they decide to do it, I mean,
01:02they're adding a real talent potentially to their lineup.
01:06This from Ted, I heard the opposite from A.P.
01:10I don't think he ruled Aiyuk out.
01:13Do you want to play that J.P. soundbite again so everybody can hear
01:18how Adam Peters answered that question?
01:21Please, Max.
01:22And, Adam, what for you, just in a general sense,
01:24as you're always looking to improve the team,
01:27when you're evaluating guys to maybe bring in for workouts, whatever,
01:31what role, if any, does kind of a player's social media have
01:34in that evaluation process?
01:37That's a good roundabout question.
01:39What a badass you are.
01:39Straight badass right there.
01:41I mean, we look at everything, J.P.
01:43I mean, it's a great question, but we do look at everything,
01:46and, you know, we want to make sure it's the right player to be in our locker room
01:51and our bloodstream and in our culture, and, you know, we often, you know,
01:54we look at that stuff.
01:56I mean, it's not always the first thing we look at.
01:58Obviously, you're looking at the tape, and you talk to the teams that the players
02:02have been on and how they were in the locker room,
02:05the players that have played with them, and so on and so forth,
02:07to make those decisions.
02:08But, you know, that's not usually a huge part of it.
02:13Usually.
02:15Well played.
02:17So, Ted, I, you know.
02:20Usually, Kev.
02:21Usually.
02:22What did you say?
02:22Just said usually.
02:24There's the caveat.
02:25Usually.
02:26Yeah.
02:27No, I think for me, when he says, you know,
02:31we want to make sure it's the right player to be in our locker room,
02:34in our bloodstream, in our culture, that's an absolute ruling out of Brandon
02:39Iyuk at this point.
02:40He has ruled himself out over the last six or seven weeks,
02:44and maybe he was ruled out long before that.
02:47You know, when he's speaking, you know, about, obviously, you know,
02:52you look at that stuff.
02:55It's not always the first thing we look at.
02:57Obviously, you're looking at the tape.
02:59You talk to teams, players, locker room, the players that have played with them.
03:02But, you know, that's not usually a huge part of it, social media.
03:06But what he focused on, and I, okay, so I get why Ted might think he heard
03:12something differently.
03:13What I heard was, you know, it's, you look at everything,
03:19you have to make sure it's the right player to be in our locker room,
03:24in our bloodstream, and in our culture.
03:27His behaviors ruled him out of that.
03:30But he's been outrageously self-destructive over the last year,
03:34year and a half.
03:35He has, you know, legitimately, I think, disqualified himself from
03:42the attempt to have a solid culture, a solid bloodstream, a solid locker room.
03:49This is a guy that spent six to seven weeks bashing his head coach,
03:56his general manager, veiled shots at various teammates,
04:00and then just took a shot at his coach who just got into a serious car accident.
04:06Stay in your lane, he said.
04:10I mean, this guy has, the thing that's not debatable, I mean,
04:15we're still here talking about it.
04:17I don't know why this is so hard for some of you to figure out.
04:22The part that's not debatable is how self-destructive this human being has been.
04:30You know, like, I think I did this a couple of weeks ago,
04:35but I said, look, you make a pros list and a cons list
04:38when you're making a decision, especially a big decision.
04:41So let's do the pros list and the cons list on Brandon Iyuk.
04:46The pros list is he's talented,
04:48and the team needs another talented playmaker on offense.
04:53The cons list is he's immature, he's self-destructive.
04:57That's not even close to debatable, okay?
05:00That part is not even close to debatable.
05:04He self-destructed into costing himself 30-plus million dollars
05:09by not just showing up at the team's facility per his contract.
05:13He videotaped himself breaking the law and then posted it on social media,
05:18which led to not a serious arrest warrant,
05:21but it's an arrest warrant for a misdemeanor
05:25that he actually brought onto himself.
05:27He could have broken that law and not videotaped himself
05:31or videotaped himself but not posted it to social media.
05:34And then he has spent literally a six, seven, eight, nine-week period now
05:41bashing his employer so loudly and in public
05:46that the judgment alone has to be questioned.
05:52The overall mental state has to be questioned, clearly.
05:58Yeah, no, this is not, you know...
06:03By the way, beyond the fact that on the cons list,
06:06he hasn't played in two years, he's coming off a serious injury
06:09that might impact his ability to be the player that he once was.
06:12And, oh, by the way, now because of the way he's behaved,
06:16do we as an organization have the stomach for the public criticism
06:22that will come from so many corners if they were to sign him?
06:27I would hope that's not something that they would care much about.
06:30But what he does care about, and he made it very clear,
06:33is they care about the bloodstream, they care about the culture,
06:36they care about the locker room.
06:37This guy has disqualified himself from, because of his actions,
06:43you know, pre and during and now post,
06:47the video barrage of six or seven weeks
06:51from anybody believing that he would be a good addition
06:55to a good locker room, a good bloodstream, and a good culture.
07:00You know, so the cons list is so much longer than the pros list.
07:05With that said, everything's possible.
07:08Anything's possible.
07:09When you've got talent like he does,
07:11somebody will eventually give him a chance.
07:13I think, though, the odds are pretty high right now,
07:19or the odds are favor very much right now,
07:23him not playing in 2026.
07:26He's going to have to do a real makeover
07:30before somebody decides they're going to put him in their building.
07:36That would be my guess.
07:37Subject to change.
07:39He could go on that apology tour starting tomorrow,
07:41get real representation,
07:44you know, figure it out with the 49ers face-to-face like a man,
07:49approach and, you know, face John Lynch,
07:52ownership, head coach, et cetera.
07:56And maybe he'll eventually get to that point.
07:58You know, hope it does happen for him that way.
08:02He is a talent.
08:03There's no doubt about that.
08:04There's no doubt about that.
08:04There's no doubt about that.
08:04There's no doubt about that.
08:04There's no doubt about that.
08:04There's no doubt about that.
